You are all being had...I am not an assassin. If I was why they hell would I disappear for almost two days. I have had no computer access...my laptop charger was left somewhere accidentally and I just got it back today. Also more importantly, my apologies fellow villagers for the lack of participation. I am going for a read through today's thread to finish catching up. I'm honestly shocked that I'm still alive.

Explain how we are all being had. You were bypassed for the execution every day, despite looking scummy to many of us on day 1 and 2 and then disappearing since Tuesday night (my time). I think we've been damn careful not to make a premature mistake with you.

I'm guessing there are a few hours until Ghat awakes and draws this night to a close. Morticia, you should complete your analysis before the night is up because one of us won't be around to interpret what you say.

I have been reading the thread from the days I missed. I have some questions. And some analysis. I have been looking at the NK's and backtracking to see who, if anyone they were all over. What stands out is quite the opposite. It seems our assassins have not been making obvious choices for Nk's more like attempting to frame other villagers. Starting with day one Callan was a possible attempt to frame Feck, then Charlou and Zigmen. Each one were onto others that are now cleared villagers. My thoughts on the rationale behind the night kills is that those who haven't been the focus of anyone who has been killed are where we will find the other assassin(s?). Cross post MZ

Another theory is that they are killing people who haven't been king yet, to increase the likelihood that one of them will get a shot at being king.

It could happen on day 5. It could have happened already.

Good point Oblivion, but they haven't gone after myself, Gib or Ani either. ALso, I would like to add that Gib is still as high on my suspicions list as he was the last time I was here. He seems too eager to me. Feck and Oblivion are the tricky ones. Both are good enough scum players to pull off what it would have taken to still be alive at this point and be practically cleared. Mantis and MZ seem townish to me at this point. But I have a weird inability to read them effectively. And then there was an Ani. He is another one who is clever enough to pull off being scum and still appearing town. If I had a choice I would go after Gib next.

If your theory is correct Ob...if they have already been king already that would mean that more likely it would be Feck or MZ since they didn't hit an assassin while king. If they haven't been king yet that would mean Ani, Gib and Myself. Knowing my own alignment and considering the rest of the thread I still think Gib is the most likely.

if you're right about gib, then you can read him better than I can. His posts appear townish to me. But, the reviews have been mixed regarding his posts. Interesting that Charlou fosed both Irre and Gib in this post:

Jynx - playing a typical inimitable Jynx game (which IMO means likely not scum)
Zigmen - flipflopping in his reasonings (town chat bad, now ok with reservations), voting Gib because Gib was tetchy... pings with me
Gib - playing a reasonably town game
Denny - I don't see the FoS on feck for callan's NK, and what is with wondering about number of assassins? Pings
Feck - unfortunate choice of Day1 execution, but to go for a no-show (even if he executed early) is pro-town... scum would have been way too nervous to kill a townie by cutting short the day and not following someone's particular suggestion for an execution
Mono - not really doing much.. this needs to change

Mort - appears today with sound reasoning, if a little rehashed from what people said yesterday...hmm
Mantis - pro-town post today, a bit quieter than usual
charlou - fairly quiet? I'd need to hear more from her today to get a read
oblivion - coming across as a bit of a mastermind this game... but if zigmen was scum then oblivion most likely town

Re callan's NK. Isn't it more likely scum thought she was the hero or the kingmaker? From the wiki, the hero is the main target, then the kingmaker. Callan's posts berating feck could be from a disappointed hero or kingmaker. That's my take on it anyway.

Based on this post, FOS irre and gib. Gib's tetchiness is out of character. Irre posting this kind of list is what she does when scum.

Interestingly enough, it was not my theory. It was gib's. And I did a *doh* when I read it.

I thought I read that Charlou later took back the FOS on Gib for tetchiness. I could be mixing stuff up. She always FOS' me, its like her default FOS. I can't read Gib that well but he was sticking out to me before my laptop was useless and he still feels "off". Thinking out loud that's all

Speaking of Charlou, I still don't get why she was NK'ed so early. She wasn't on to anyone person and she was relatively quiet for her in this game. Her being NK'ed so early makes me think that the last assassin(s) is a strong/veteran player.

Charlou fosed both irre and dennyb on day 2. and she died on night 2. I can't remember if she backed off gib, but I remember someone arguing that tetchiness is something he displays as town - and I agree that it is. I'll see if I can dig up more.

IMO, Irre turning up scum at least partially explains why I (and Feck and maybe MZ) have lasted this long. "Why is irre alive?" was almost completely drowned out by the wifom over my being alive again and again.

Denny would have been dead for the night 2 NK, so it would have had to be Irre for Charlou. I'm going hunting in the thread again.

Gib has become a very confident player. He really picked up on Zigmen's "town stay quiet" ploy yesterday more than anyone. This resonates with me and I'm inclined to call Gib as town atm. His tetchiness I've noticed before. He doesn't like fluff at all.

My impression was that it was oblivion who went after Zigmen over that more than anyone yesterday ...

I don't see a post where she changed her POV on gib.
