The bolded part I agree with.

To the "God" thingy aspect ... What do you theists think caused the "God" thingy?

I'm not convinced there was a Big Bang now I know God caused it. I'm opting for a steady-state model or whatever else is going on the dinner plate. Creationists have put me right off the Big Bang, now they've took a bite out of it.

What fact?

If something can't be demonstrated in a way that can't be understood, then how can it be demonstrated? In a way that can't be understood?

well, we don't know what the "cause" of the big bang was, or really anything about the big bang. We only know about what happened after the big bang - and the science goes back to about one planck's constant unit of time "after" the big bank already occurred. What happened "before" one planck's constant unit of time after the big bang is unknown because at present science hasn't figured a way to peer into it, to measure it, or to infer it. All the laws of physics break down, and the forces - strong/weak nuclear, gravity, electromagnetism - are unified and our physics doesn't work.

We don't KNOW how the big bang happened.

Some theories - closer to hypotheses - have been toyed with - mostly mathematics - like string theory and M theory - designed to try to figure out how the universe or universes could come about. But, it's purely theoretical physics at this point and there isn't really any proof yet.

You can bet that if we do find out there will a wash of idiots searching the koran for a verse about string claiming it's another Miracle of Allah .

It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.
