It sounds like this might happen by default. As in if the king executes the hero, the king dies instead. Without us doing anything, but just the result. Hmm... however, than we'd know who the hero is, which could be risky.. Irre mentioned it might be that the hero is like a bomb... but, I doubt that both of them would be killed?Charlou wrote:Wait .. is it ... if the king decides to kill the hero, the hero can out and the villagers then kill the king? What advantage does that serve? It gains the hero time .. but then the assassins know his identity. But why would the assassins need to kill the hero specifically? It's not like the hero has any special scum hunting power ...Charlou wrote:You are the Hero of the village! However, this ability isn't very useful if you're not executed, so you should probably stay quiet about what you can do. Also, Assassins will likely try and kill you above anyone else, so that's another good incentive to stay quiet. Once revealed as the Hero, you may not become King of the realm. You win with the VILLAGE!
How does the town fiercely protect a hero they don't even know the identity of?
Tell me if I have it wrong because the hero role seems odd .. a bit of a red herring?

Re: Kingmaker day two
Honestly, I don't know.
Maybe mononoke, since we haven't heard a whole lot from him that may be useful.
As for Zigmen... he had voted gib, for the reason that gib was 'uncharacteristically pissed off'. Kind of strange. Someone mentioned that gib always seems pissed off... true.
But, still that leaves me not knowing what to think about Zig.
I don't think Feck is a good choice necessarily.

Re: Kingmaker day two
Something just pinged for me as I read through Day 1.
Ani/jynx quoting the rules to assist understanding that the king could be an assassin.
Ani doesn't usually do much in the way of homework for these games although, granted, he might be as new to this type of game as everybody else. Having quoted rules, he's reverted to type. I'm just wondering if that doesn't indicate some kind of team play. One thing for sure is the assassins are going to have the rules nailed. Just a thought.

Gib has become a very confident player. He really picked up on Zigmen's "town stay quiet" ploy yesterday more than anyone. This resonates with me and I'm inclined to call Gib as town atm. His tetchiness I've noticed before. He doesn't like fluff at all.
Re: Kingmaker day two
Actually the person before me (can't be arsed checking) asked something I was about to ask myself so about whether the being King cleared you of being an assassin so instead of reiterating the question hoping someone else would answer I thought I'd better stop being lazy and check myself.
This is all fluff, though, Ziggy.

My re-read of Day 1, I basically now have some sympathy for Feck in choosing to pick a random no show. The obvious answer for him though was to ask how long left in the day.
I find Mono scummy. Posting that he can't post. What does he expect us to do with that?
I find Zigmen's logic flawed. I'll have to re-read Day 2 to remind myself whether he's come to his senses.

My impression was that it was oblivion who went after Zigmen over that more than anyone yesterday ...Magicziggy wrote:Gib has become a very confident player. Agreed, Oblivion did pick him up on it as well.Charlou wrote:My impression was that it was oblivion who went after Zigmen over that more than anyone yesterday ...Magicziggy wrote:Gib has become a very confident player. And so would I have. If town stays quiet, then nothing happens. Logic fail.
Re: Kingmaker day two
just dropping by for a quick check. I think people should also look at Ob.

Why Oblivion in particular?mononoke wrote:just dropping by for a quick check. I think people should also look at Ob.
Re: Kingmaker day two
I've slept on it some. not done sleeping just yet.
I think it comes down to either mono or irre today.
gib does get testy at times, but I need to read/think back whether he's been tetchy when he's scum. He was scum in cannibal holocaust.
