It came out of nowhere.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

If you want to use that excuse, I'll believe you. But I know the door was in counseling for domestic violence.

All done here! Turkey, potatoes and four types of veg, stuffing, pigs in blankets - the works - parents and daughter fed, presents shared and washing up done. House to ourselves now again.

What was all that about??

Does anyone really think Christmas is a Christian holiday? The focus has always been about Santa Claus, tree decorating, and gift giving. The only time Jesus is injected into it is at church service. It always seemed oddly incongruent to me, the whole Jesus thing, and the attempt at shoe-horning him into the holiday, an exercise in futility.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

It's not futile, it's fucking christmas, now get with it! Stop moaning and start singing hymns you, you, atheist! It's no one's fault that you don't have your own holidays but your own! If you're going to get involved then at least quit your bellyaching!

Rewind nine hours, and the same is going on here...I'm taking a break while hubby does all the in between dish washing.

I even have four types of veggies too! (Along with all the other stuff.) Brussel sprouts in an caramelized onion cream sauce, carrots in maple brown sugar glaze, whole Romanesco cauliflower draped in cheese sauce, and steamed broccoli. :food:

Jesus has never come into it for me, fuck, I didn't even know the connection til I was probably 9 or 10  I have only seen one single Jesus related thing this Christmas, a bus stop poster of a picture of a scan photo, halo round the foetus' head and 'Christmas begins with Christ' underneath it. I lol'd out loud.
Men! They're all beasts!
Yeah. But isn't it wonderful?
