The Republicans have a business-above-everything mentality. It's a drain of tax dollars for preferential treatment. and the Republicans are getting into Austerity Mode. Just wait until all the new Tea Party candidates show up to Congress next month.

No kidding. I'm thinking maybe the constant threat of war in my rice paddy isn't such a bad thing, after all, by comparison. I wonder. Did Vietnam vets ever win compensation for the Agent Orange thing? My girlfriend's dad is a VN vet and he's getting a pretty nice package from the gov't for it. Surely the US has caught up with SK on this, eh?
Edit: Looked it up. American VN vets are getting at least some health care compensation.
