Coming Out as a Christian in a Atheist Community
I'd like to know how you'd deal with the revelation that a major atheist icon was actually a convert to Christianity? Would you join the metaphoric lynch mob? or take the Bible from the shelf? or not give a damn?

I'd wonder why for a minute, but then I'd shrug and carry on. I hear a lot more about former Christians becoming atheists than vice versa.

I've yet to see something like that happen so I'd be quite curious but it certainly wouldn't influence me in any way. As a former devout Christian myself I have already wrestled with every possible scenario and am quite happy/sane where I landed so it's really hard for me to understand how someone could go the other way round, but of course it's possible. I'd probably figure they had a brain tumor

I might be curious as to why. No, maybe not.
Atheists have always argued that this world is all that we have, and that our duty is to one another to make the very most and best of it. ~Christopher Hitchens~
