I'm not scum. I was however visited by someone very sexy, I assume the scum prostitute. Same thing as the others.

I'm surprised about the mason thing, I thought it was lovebirds who were joined so that one died if the other did. I haven't seen that with masons. I think we cannot make any assumptions with this game, and i have been . Abut the "traitorous enabler" (still don't get that), about charlous being part of a mason group. About ghat's behavior being role connected and not ghat connected. On the other hand, UT might be right about the recruitment thing.

UT is right about recruiters having restrictions. Sometimes the restriction is that it takes 2 nights. If anyone feels weird or dizzy or whatever you might be being recruited. If you really want to help town, speak up. Sometimes they have to choose between a scum kill or a recruit. And yeah, like UT says sometimes(often) they cannot recruit specials. And if they can the special usually cannot keep their power.

I see that while Mantis was described as a "traitorous enabler" when she was taken out, the list now describers her s a ""traitor/enabler".

I think what we should look for is people whose play style has drastically changed over the course of a day. To me that would be:
gib - went from very agressive to very very agreeable, after night 1
ghat - went from going off the hinges to comatose after night 1
charlou - was allowed to speak after night 1.

I'm still kind of buying charlou's role claim, it looks like oblivion is following very closely to the flavour for the role assignments so char kind of makes sense from what I've read. Also it would mean that she was a pseudo-special and probably not recruitable.
ghat can be explained by mafia burnout, and I know what it's like to have ani on your back and how frustrating that can be. What bugs me here is that his behavior reminds me a bit of MZ during the pirate game where he basically bailed after being recruited.
In my opinion if someone was recruited gib would be the most likely suspect so far.

That said, I still think callan and higgs are very likely to be scum also.

UT, I agree about Gib - I was convinced he was Town on Day One, not so much thereafter. Mind you, I've been so consistently mistaken all game that I expect he's really been scum from the start.
And it's not me on the scum team, so by your reckoning it must be higgs.
I've been wrong about everyone except Mantis, pretty much, so I won't vote. If I choose someone, I'm bound to be wrong.

It was ani who first mentioned that he was exempt from recruiting, so I think we have to assume there are recruiters because why else would there be anything like that in a pm? the fact that the masons were also lovers is what makes me think oblivion is playing close to the series, because usually masons just get to talk to each other not die with each other.

and that post higgs is more of what I expect from you when you're town. Who do you think are scum, and who most likely to have been recruited if anyone?

it's not you being wrong that bothers me, I totaly didn't pick up on mantis and I'm still amazed that we got someone like that on day one. It's just that you keep voting where I think scum would if they were burying a vote. Also not voting is pretty scummy, it's kind of the only weapon town has. Why so timid? it's really not like you.

Not timid, UT - just a bit depressed by my own incompetence, that's all.
I haven't been burying my vote either. It's just been coincidental that the people I've woken up each morning deciding to vote for have already had votes cast on them. It's just the luck of the time-zone, I guess.
If he were alive, I'd be voting for Mono today, like I said I would yesterday - wrong again.
So you can see why I'm not overly confident about voting to lynch today.

If I were recruiting I would probably want someone who would be in the game for a long time, not draw lynches easily, and not be suspicious. A lot of times that could be the new people. So gibs would be good. Or callan -- relatively new? New or not he seems scummy to me. I (if I were recruiting) wouldn'twant UT or irre or possibly me because we can be targets. Zig plays great scum, if he weren't dead I'd suggest him. Curious Squid might be a fun recruit as no one knows him and he's given a lot of noob leeway.

The real thing is, who is acting scummy, that way you get scum and recruits. WHat you said about ghat's change sounded interesting. Also, if it was a two day recruit maybe that explains the goofy lynching himself shit. Although he should have just told us, we would have lynched him but it would have prevented another scum and the game is not about survival, it's about killing all the scum before they reach parity with us. i have to admit, I missed where ani said he was not recruitable. Was that part of his role? What an odd thing to say.

I really do think irre has been way different than her last game for example. Think about it. Last game she jsut mocked everything that went against her. THat crazy long "analysis" yesterday. Maybe it was meant to be helpful. But it seemed like trying to look like town hunting scum to me. That was my reaction, i could be wrong, we'll see.

UT, I'm not playing differently that I know of. I just haven't told anyone off in strong terms. I get stressed when the game rules are confusing or vague or unevenly enforced. So far that has not been a problem so I'm p. calm.

Don't let that throw you callan, specials and scum are easy to mistake for each other. I thought mono was also looking kind of scummy, it's just that he always looks that way to me so I try to suppress it.

that's a really good point about ghat, but why wouldn't he just out as feeling wierd or something? It would mean that scum got to start the recruit on night 0. Do you think the recruit came with a posting restriction? I agree with your list of possible recruit targets, I'd probably add denny as well, he's pretty good at flying under the radar.

Why does it seem like we're loosing loads of town when we've only killed off one ourself, did the scum know that killing Mono would kill Ani too?

I don't have time to keep up with the thread for now, got company, I don't have any clues as to who is scum now, maybe Charlou and Ghat (DP).

squid claimed it was the blocker, which once again raises my question of who would choose squid for a night 0 block?
