we don't have to be on the same team. A town blocker can block a town member one night and then a scum member the next.irretating wrote:It stopped you from performing a night action, if you had one. Is bedtime for me. Night all.
Re: Carnivale - Day 2
I thought your vote looked a bit sus too, Callan, but I was giving you the benefit of the doubt because Morticia's behaviour .. or lack of behaviour .. is looking extremely scummy right now .. obviously .. that's why my vote is on her.Callan wrote:Well, as my only other candidate was YOU, Mono, maybe you'll be happier if I leave my vote where it is for now?mononoke wrote:Really callan, is it that easy to hop on the band wagon.Callan wrote: And having no better candidate to offer, I'm content to join the concensus about Morticia.
Vote Morticia
Vote Callan
Yesterday, just before the lynch, there were no fewer than 4 people FoSsing you - Gib, Denny, UT and Squid.
On p14 of the Day One thread, you informed Squid that there must be 3 scum. Your confidence is interesting. Or are you trying to muddy the waters?
And also on p14, you divested yourself of the mighty statement "Mantis doesn't seem scummy to me." Well, she did to a whole lot of other folk, and gosh, look, she flipped as a traitor.
I'm above revenge voting, so I won't swap to you just because you've voted for me.
But your poorly-reasoned vote has confirmed my suspicions about you, and if enough people agree, I'll swap without hesitation.
I think mono's assessment of how many scum there are likely to be is just an educated guess based on the total number of players .. and not out of the ordinary to do so in any game. I don't find that scummy.

Mono said that it could be a town blocker or a scum blocker,
If it was a scum blocker that visited us both then what you're saying is true and the indication there is that Mono and I are both Town BUT if it was a town blocker then they wouldn't know who was town or scum and therefore either one of us (or both of us) could be scum.
If it wasn't for the fact that I really think Mono is scum I would go with the idea that we were both blocked by a scum trait and that we're both town, as it is, the only way to find out if that's the case would be for the blocker to out themselves.

Maybe not. It'll be up to Oblivion to decide. The Curious Squid wrote:mononoke wrote:Fuck, am i out of the game? The Curious Squid wrote:posting the exact content of your PM will get you godkilledmononoke wrote:

Re: Carnivale - Day 2
Mono, I'm not even going to bother with you. I'm tired of your persistent personal vendetta, and tired of trying to fathom it out.
If anyone agrees with Mono that my voting for someone I think is scum looks scummy, then they're welcome to vote for me.
I'm still not going to change my vote, because apart from the personal angle, Mono's trolley-tracking is also making me feel as if he must have a very good reason for trying to protect Morticia.
My vote stays where it is.
And if I'm alive in the morning, it will be going straight onto Mono.
And if I'm not, then I'll flip town, and I hope that info will prove helpful.

Re: Carnivale - Day 2
Mortica not posting doesn't mean she's scum. We almost ritually lynch people who don't post, any scum player would have gotten the message by now that trying to play an overtly quiet game is suicide.
Re: Carnivale - Day 2
Mort was discussing gameplay schedule with oblivion in the PG, well after today's game day began .. she had ample opportunity to 'check in' on the game as she puts it. Yesterday she was her for a while, then posted nothing of substance and said she'd be back before nightfall but didn't return. She has time to come in and defend herself in which case I'll reconsider my vote.

Lol, callan really! even if mortica & I were both scum I wouldn't protect her. That is just silly reasoning. If mortica is a teammate I'd stay the fuck away from her unless this is very late game and victory is within sight. either you seem to have very little idea how scum play the game or this is just a pathetic attempt at deflecting blame.Callan wrote:Mono, I'm not even going to bother with you. And why do you want to highlight all these remarks about personal vandetta's, is that just an attempt to make your feeble defense look better. That looks like flail to me callan.
Callan my accusation stays, you jumped in conveniently onto a band wagon without adding anything substantiative other than saying i'll go with the consensus. That's not pro town play at all, it's typical scum play. I'm sure a few experienced people will agree with me on this. But what is more interesting right now is all this flailing. It's just one vote callan you shouldn't really feel that defensive about one vote. unless your team is down one player and loosing one more will be really bad. Are you feeling the pressure callan?

You may be ... You have to read everything carefully, squid .. Here's where oblivion posted the rule about role PMs in the Bone Yard thread:The Curious Squid wrote:Fuck, am i out of the game?mononoke wrote:posting the exact content of your PM will get you godkilledThe Curious Squid wrote:I've just reread the PM I got yesterday and realised that it's the same thing Mono is talking aboutmononoke wrote:Basically i was visited by an amorous visitor. Maybe oblivion will let this slide just this once as you're new to the game.oblivion wrote:
Management says we're going to work this town for several days, folks. Settle in. We're part of the game, you see. And Management promises it isn't a gaff.
This here's the bone yard, where you carnies can hang out when you aren't working.
This is a no PM game unless your role PM specifies otherwise.
All the usual rules apply, including no gameplay in the peanut gallery or after nightfall, no quoting/posting your role PMs or other communications from me. Paraphrasing is OK.
This game has some night zero actions. Once I have those actions in hand and processed, I'll start the day 1 thread.
