I saw it as a way of connecting town players. I'm reconsidering now.Charlou wrote:As for irre's role of finding objects ... why would that necessarily confirm irre as town? She may be scum and have that same task .. Either way, it seems to be a red herring, bet even more so if irre is scum.

Holy cow, why didn't you say so earlier.oblivion wrote:^^ sort of a scavenger hunting role.
I had an indie mason group in a game design recently, who had to find an item that another player possessed.

because the thought hadn't occurred to me earlier. I was focusing on the yin/yang of town/scum, despite worrying about possible indie win conditions muddying the waters in terms of player motivations.Magicziggy wrote:Holy cow, why didn't you say so earlier.oblivion wrote:^^ sort of a scavenger hunting role.

How does that clear those people as town.irretating wrote:I've caught up. I'm intrigued to know why callan is convinced MZ and I are working closely together (and she has inferred that we have off-thread communication, which is false). I got some info at the beginning of the game (the items listed were a honey jar, rounds of 45 calibre ammunition, and some fish that Apu sells). The info said that town players hold some items that are of no use. So, that clears charlou, MZ and mantis. I was not told of any other specific items, so anyone else holding items I cannot confirm as town. Feck's early claim puts him in good stead. After that I think it's pretty muddy.
Callan, consider stopping the trolley tracking.

Right, still hopeful that Irre is legit.
I can understand concerns about it though but not sure where I have been working closely with Irre on this.
I've got ammo, that's all. No role, nothing. The ammo doesn't do anything, doesn't lead anywhere.
I was told that I hold the town supplies of 45 caliber ammunition.
Normal is setting off the most alarms for me now.
I have Mantis as town due to her fish.
I have DP and Oblivion as town.
Irre and CHarlou as town as long as Irre's story hold's up, and the same for Mantis and also Feck.
The rest....anyone's guess.
Oh, and Gallstones lynching. Inevitable if you don't post imo.
I won't be back before daybreak.

I think this is a recent thing. I've played a couple of ratskep games with here where she was very involvedCharlou wrote:It is Gallstones style to play a completely solo game with long absences and little contribution, often fluff, whether town or scum and, to be honest, I would prefer she didn't play at all if she's not going to contribute in a way that is actually playing the game. That's a wasted doc role that someone else could have put to far better use.Callan wrote:I'm not used to subbing, but I can see that it would have been a more sensible thing for Gallstones to do if she knew she couldn't play - but I also can't help the fact that I found it harsh to punish her because she didn't do so.

Sorry, I meant that I'm not a special. I can't fire the bullets, although I wouldn't mind trying.
Re: Simpsons Day 2
Re Gallstones ... game aside ... as time goes on and she's not online at all I'm more concerned that she's okay in RL.
Back to the game .. I'm still wondering why irre said Feck is cleared when she's also said he didn't have any of the items she was looking for?
And who was it who said their role is to rally protesters? Is there more to that ... Will MZ's ammo play a role there?

I get the feeling that the ammo is a red herring. I was concerned about revealing it at first, but now I think it's just that. An object to identify town.
