Re: Simpsons Day 2
I made my feelings and suspicions quite plain, as you've pointed out above, and my fears came true. What's so dreadful about saying I told you so?
I'm not interested in getting "bonus town points" for myself - I AM interested in winning! Lynching specials for no reason other than not liking the quantity of their posts is not the best way to go about that.

Re: Simpsons Day 2
I've caught up. I'm intrigued to know why callan is convinced MZ and I are working closely together (and she has inferred that we have off-thread communication, which is false). I got some info at the beginning of the game (the items listed were a honey jar, rounds of 45 calibre ammunition, and some fish that Apu sells). The info said that town players hold some items that are of no use. So, that clears charlou, MZ and mantis. I was not told of any other specific items, so anyone else holding items I cannot confirm as town. Feck's early claim puts him in good stead. After that I think it's pretty muddy.
Callan, consider stopping the trolley tracking.

Town specials have added responsibility for playing protown. Gallstones should probably have asked for a sub rather than go awol for 2 days.Callan wrote:I made my feelings and suspicions quite plain, as you've pointed out above, and my fears came true. What's so dreadful about saying I told you so?

I'm not used to subbing, but I can see that it would have been a more sensible thing for Gallstones to do if she knew she couldn't play - but I also can't help the fact that I found it harsh to punish her because she didn't do so.oblivion wrote:Town specials have added responsibility for playing protown. irre - I'm not following the reason why you're so sure these objects don't do anything - was that made explicit in the pre-game information that you received? In which case, what is the point of them, and of the other objects that people have named? The ammo in particular seems likely to be something unpleasant.
Re: Simpsons Day 2
I didn't think Gallstones would have been so quiet if she was Scum not after the last game ,but if you don't post you get lynched .
So you were just told that certain town members had items to help you identify then Irre ? you have no extra win condition if you find them all or anything else like that ?

Didn't irre say they were described as useless items or similar?Callan wrote:I'm not used to subbing, but I can see that it would have been a more sensible thing for Gallstones to do if she knew she couldn't play - but I also can't help the fact that I found it harsh to punish her because she didn't do so.oblivion wrote:Town specials have added responsibility for playing protown. I agree the ammo sounds dodgy, why ammo and no gun? Just ammo sounds so random, i'd like to think our GM put a little more thought into the game design than just picking random objects for ID purposes.
Re: Simpsons Day 2
It is Gallstones style to play a completely solo game with long absences and little contribution, often fluff, whether town or scum and, to be honest, I would prefer she didn't play at all if she's not going to contribute in a way that is actually playing the game. That's a wasted doc role that someone else could have put to far better use.Callan wrote:I'm not used to subbing, but I can see that it would have been a more sensible thing for Gallstones to do if she knew she couldn't play - but I also can't help the fact that I found it harsh to punish her because she didn't do so.

Re: Simpsons Day 2
As for irre's role of finding objects ... why would that necessarily confirm irre as town? She may be scum and have that same task .. Either way, it seems to be a red herring, bet even more so if irre is scum.

Re: Simpsons Day 2
Or irre could have an indie role related to finding who has a list of items.
Re: Simpsons Day 2
^^ sort of a scavenger hunting role.
I had an indie mason group in a game design recently, who had to find an item that another player possessed.

Re: Simpsons Day 2
irre, why is Feck cleared? He didn't mention anything about those items you listed. I thought his bolding of the word chalk was supposed to be the significant thing ... Was it? Or something else? ... These maybe questions for Feck to answer, too ...

I'm just town. No special win condition. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with the information. I was hoping that those holding the objects might know.Feck wrote:I didn't think Gallstones would have been so quiet if she was Scum not after the last game ,but if you don't post you get lynched .

Re: Simpsons Day 2
I was told town players had some objects, including the three held by you, MZ and mantis. When feck posted what he did, I took it that he had an object therefore was town. Given there have been a rash of claims since then, I only consider the players with items I was told about, to be town players. What it all means? No idea.Charlou wrote:irre, why is Feck cleared?
