Watching him struggle the next few games made me realize it is a terrible way to teach someone mafia. The mentor shouldn't teach the mentee how to play the mentor's game. The mentor should help the mentee discover his/her own game.
I think this is a big reason I wouldn't want to mentor a player, for fear of what you describe here.
Nah. She doesn't do that at all. She's a very good mentor, helps people learn how to make decisions. I have mentored before, and it was almost more fun than actually playing. It's fun when you see someone make a breakthrough and realize what is happening, think of a new strategy, identify scum, that kind of think. Charlou, you would probably make a good mentor. You have the basics of mafia nailed, you seem like you would be easy to work with and genuinely helpful.

Also, I have a cheat sheet which is all of the questions ja poisson asked me when he mentored me rofl! They are excellent questions.
Now you have to share. It isn't nice to tease with something like that. What happened to JA anyway?
I do know he's be p. busy lately but i'm hoping that he'll come back in a few months at least. He was fun to play mafia with unless of course you were not on his side.

GG and thanks for running it, Ghat!!! The Vigs with blanks is an intersting spin. Groundbreaking stuff, there.

Thanks, Normal, for subbing in for me and keeping the ruse going smoothly. You did great. Also, thanks to the whole scum team. Great bunch!

Town was very much on the right path several times. We had serious doubts our gambit would pay off. We were lucky to have so many town specials leave the game early.

Oblivion, yes, we took out Gib because you were his mentor. I understand that you do not play through your mentee, as I was and still am under your mentorship. But, you do allow your trainees to ask you how you feel about certain player's alignments, and you answer them. We could not risk Gib thinking I was scum and asking if you concurred. You would have pointed out reasons for and against it being true, but I believe your own suspicions would have been apparent in thos answers.

Knowing how well you know my game, we could not risk that. Please do not take offense at my allegations of your mentoring style. You are the best, and the fairest. But I could not risk you having any link to this game.

We knew Higgs would be all over our gambit, which she was. Great job, Higgs. Also Irre picked up on our scam as well. Well spotted!

Denny texted me the results, but I didn't get them until today. So, for 5 days, i had no idea who won!

Fun game~

I can't share, I use them for mentoring.

Only problem is then people tell you stuff about the game and then you have to recuse yourself. :(
