Oz Mafia

Post by oblivion » Thu Oct 28, 2010 4:00 am

A strange darkness has fallen over the land of Oz.

Word came to you yesterday that there is trouble in Emerald City. The Wizard has disappeared, and the four countries of Oz are in pandemonium.

In the dim twiight it's impossible to tell friend from foe. Gillikin Country and Quadling Country are too disorganized to be factors in this turmoil, but MunchkinLand and the Land of Winkies are thought to be well organized and led by competent and ambitious witches. And a third witch has arrived in Oz amidst a terrifying wind. Rumor has it that this witch named Dorothy is seeking disaffected Ozlings to join her in a push to occupy the Emerald city.

You have heard whispers that even Ozma, long thought to be dead, may have returned to her rightful throne. And Glinda is nowhere to be found, but the citizens of Oz hope she is somewhere safe working on their behalf.

Elect a mayor and vote to banish someone.

Should be vote DennyB

irre, Denny seems like a pretty canny player ... if he's scum I'd like him viewed .. and if town, his vote is valuable.

Actually, just realised the scum aspect doesn't really work in this game's format .. hmmm ...

Now I'm wondering if the mayor role does, either ...

I've never played a game like this. Looks like a recruitment game. Don't worry, I'll behave.

These votes are merely to have something out there. There's absolutely no basis for them at all.
I'll reconsider when there are more people around

I don't know about her, but my role pm mentioned "other teams". That must mean there are more than two teams.
I'm guessing I'm one of the good guys since I don't have any PM ability, or know who my team mates are.

Maybe that's what she was hinting at with the scum aspect.

So from what I'm guessing there are two competing scum teams. Innocents and possibly a bunch of independents.

My interpretation of my pm is that there are a few teams, all vieing to deplete the others in order to win with the most team members still in play.

Scum is anyone not on one's team, but not necessarily scum in the traditional ( ie that we've become accustomed to here) sense of the word.

Mayor ... There's not likely to be a Don in this game .. so is there an equivalent? and how will the mayor view to any 'seer'?

Oh yeah .. and with the mayor ... the extra voting power has a different impact here .. but I can't put my finger on why I think it's different ... will think some more.
