hmmm ... as we had two vigilantes and two other specials, it seems, I think it's possible there are two more scum for the balance, one of which may be the Don .. so a 'town' view on anyone should still be treated with caution.
Not meaning that they shouldn't be viewed ... obviously the don is always a consideration until he's out of the game.

My pleasure, Charlou. As for your question, this can be corroborated by any of you who've played in the same games as I over at RatSkep: I don't lynch vote if I'm very unsure. I am forming a view now though, so I'll be lynch voting in forthcoming rounds for as long as I remain in the game.
So on day 1 you were sure of Bart but on day 2 you were less sure?

And we still have Totals' total lack of participation.
What do you think about Blip and Animavore? Any reason you didn't mention them?
This is the first time I've played with you guys, and I don't have a good read on you yet. Right now I'd put you guys between the other groups -- you could be town, or you could be scum playing nice and low key.

Why view totals?
Totals was supposed to perform at my charity concert on Sunday. Morticia did perform and Denny attended. Totals was a no-show. I realise that this borders on "outside knowledge," but I can't help but know these facts. On Monday night, I asked Totals' guitar teacher if he had heard from him. He had. It turns out that Totals was playing in the Bronx on Saturday night and ran into a spat of trouble (I'm sure he'll share when he's ready) requiring him to stay in the city for two extra days.

Knowing that he would return soon, I imagined him appearing late to this game with his very legitimate excuse, but nobody trusting that it wasn't some concocted ploy.

That would leave Mort, Denny, and I to corroborate Totals' story.

That's fine, too, but I wondered if Town would suffer by believing such a story, and feeling the sympathy that goes with hearing it.

So, I viewed him to be 100% sure one way or the other.

And wait til you hear this story. My god . . . But I'll let him tell it if he likes or skip it as he sees fit. It's not the high point of his life, and he suffered a pretty traumatic experience.

umm .. now there's an in depth answer I didn't expect  ... Was thinking it would be more along the lines of .. '"he's not showed up to play AFUCKINGGAIN so I thought I'd just end speculation with a view" ...

Yes. I was struck by his unprovoked aggression on day one. Brief subsequent research revealed it to be not uncharacteristic.

Same question, higgs .. ?
As well as higgs2, may I ask a similar question of Ani? Because in my experience, he is normally a more active and vocal player when he's playing for town: he likes to apply pressure and see what response it provokes. And he has been online here.

I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

People aren't posting enough here ... We need a lot more input to gather information and ideas from.
All I got from the reread is that I'm not the only one playing differently to my usual game, I'm going to have a little think and make a list of who I suspect from most to least. And if it's reasoned or just a hunch.

Afterthought: Where the hell is Ani this game? He's been way too quiet for his town game.

Okay, so blip had asked what I meant by "sneaky" or something like that. It's partly a manner of demeanor . Yes, you are aboveboard with your "research" and the numbers look right but you make veiled implications about what they mean. So instead of saying "I think so and so is scum because..." you do more of weasel around something and leave people to draw the conclusions that you are trying to plant. The first is towny the second is scummy.
