Wow, so there are 61% of people at least who are content with living in caves, sure! Why not!

Well there is technology and then there's TECHNOLOGY! A leaky nuclear power station produces electricity which keeps us warm, but do you want the risk of a leaky reactor?

I am still surprised at the 61% though.

Fucking stupidly phrased question is the problem. Replace 'threat' with 'risk' and see the results change. I guarantee you.

Threat of technology:

"Clean up your room this instant or you can kiss the bronze age goodbye!"
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Agreed. What kind of threat, and to whom? I know people who are a threat with a rolled up newspaper. And others who should be standing on newspaper at any given time.

Isn't that the superdupermegacomputer that sent a physicist back in time to fine tune the Big Bang?

Nope, it's the one that ran the Terminators.

Those who are too scared of technology should be banned from using it. And medicine.

I think we went wrong as soon as we walked. Why aren't there still chimpanzees? I liked the group sex.
