Make your own. It's easy.
1/4 cup ammonia
1 cup rubbing alcohol
2 qts water
a few drops of liquid dishwashing soap
Give it to a rabbit to see if he'll squirt himself in the eye or attempt to make it into some kind of fancy cocktail?
Why do they think they need to test it on animals?
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

I just use vinegar and newspaper. They're perfect for cleaning windows.

If its reaction is unknown then the results could be devastating.
I mean, fuck, there were these little bead things that made kids high if ingested. The beads were meant to be ironed in to patterns and shapes, not eaten.

We keep making new chemicals. They all need to be tested before you can even ship them by truck. So you get an LD50 dose level. in mg/kg of wgt. To do this, 50% of the animals need to die.

I you are going to join the ALF and protest ALL animal testing I agree with you . I don't object to the uses of animals for research and testing of drugs etc ,I think some testing of novel chemicals on animals will always be needed. I just think it should be used where it is needed not casually for spurious reasons .

Weren't those the toy which reacted in the stomach to form Rohypnol or something very much like it? Yeah, we don' need no animal testing for that shit. Every parent gives their kids date rape drugs anyway, right?

There are many cases in which we didn't know animal testing was needed until we'd done the animal testing. It bothers me, too, but until we've developed alternative methods (and those are being worked on right now) it's what we've got.

Well all of them die actually and a lot more than 50 % die of the stuff you are testing as they narrow down the exact LD

If I recall, it behaved like THC, the one I'm thinking of.

There's an obvious difference between testing a vaccine on an animal and testing a window cleaner, only a moron couldn't see the difference.

Sure. One you inject to fight off disease and the other could potentially burn the skin off your arm if it's too acidic.

you don't need to drop it in a rabbits eyes to test the PH you use a ph meter ...this is an example of what I mean why test on animals when there are better ways in many cases .

If the alternative is cheaper, and supported by regulators, the companies will use it.
