It's funny how they worry about the souls of embryos but not of the lives of people dying of aids because of their condom policy.

It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

People obviously do, but the number is dwindling.

Ignacio Carrasco de Paula, head of the Pontifical Academy for Life, said the award ignored the ethical questions raised by natural miscarriage.

He said miscarriage had led to the destruction of large numbers of human embryos.

"In the best of cases they survive to birth but many end up dead, which is a problem for which God is responsible."

Personally, I would criticise the win for the simple reason that we have plenty of people in the world already and enabling the privileged few in the west (at taxpayers' expense on the NHS in the UK!) to make even more of them, while there are thousands of children eager for adoption, sticks in my craw a little.

So I would say that the poop and his chums are right - but for their usual pathetic, superstitious reasons.

Given that I've been hearing that the attribution of the med nobel to that particular guy was delayed for 3 decades precisely because of the vatican's ire in the first place, they not making derogatory statements would have been a surprise indeed.
