BBC2 Horizon: The Death of the Oceans

... on right now. Narrated by Sir David himself.

No doubt it'll be on YouTube in a thrice. :shifty:
God has no place within these walls, just like facts have no place within organized religion. - Superintendent Chalmers

It's not up to us to choose which laws we want to obey. If it were, I'd kill everyone who looked at me cock-eyed! - Rex Banner

What's it about?
Libertarianism: The belief that out of all the terrible things governments can do, helping people is the absolute worst.

Actually, I thought it had relatively little moralising in it, given the gravity of the story. "We are killing the oceans, the planet in general and possibly ourselves ...". An easy sell, especially with the hard evidence that seems to be available in spades. The nay-sayers won't be moved of course, moralising or not.

I'll post video links if and when I see them. :read:

I loved the bit where the guy is saying something about the data coming in and being processed by the software.... some graphs start to appear on screen and he says, "It's very exciting". :hehe:

I think I'm going to watch it again later in the week. There was a lot of really good info in the program that I'd like to absorb some more.
