Yes, you're not "aware" of it, it's below your absolute threshold for conscious perception. But it's still recorded in the memory, it's the reason that subliminal adversing (the flashing of images on the TV screen) is illegal.

Not unconscious. You have to be conscious of it to take notice of it. You can't be attracted by a smell you aren't conscious of.

You can take in all sorts of stimuli without being conscious of them. It's not possible to pay attention to all details of a scene, and the ones that are unimportant are filtered out of out conscious experience.

Conciousness has different definitions...if you are referring to physiological consciousness, then yes, you are right. I'm referring to psychological consciousness.
