3. Time is considered a 4th dimension by some physicists but by no means all - some claim it doesn't actually exist! Further dimensions are completely hypothetical BUT they do make the equations of string theory work much better - so, if string theory is correct, perhaps there are 11 dimensions?

No seriously, because if that video isn't a load of woo my mind is now absolutely shattered. All of the bullshit I've been reading for the last three years on the occult actually ties in very neatly with this. Going through the dimensions as described meshes with the Qabalistic Tree of Life. To put not too fine a point on it, that offends every rational bone in my body. The only way I can think to debunk it is to perfectly understand the implications string theory, the entire system of Qabalah and the far weird end of tarot symbolism. That, or I can accept on faith it's not right. Fuck.

If the video is legit and not woo I have a metric fuck tonne of debunking to do for myself.

The front cover is the 10 Dimensions laid out in the arrangement of the lightning bolt from the Qabalah, linking Kether to Malkuth. It's basically him rehashing the Naples Arrangement that Crowley came up with in pseudo scientific language.

Time as 4th dimension makes a bit more sense, but even that is hard to swallow, and the person who espouses that theory has tons to account for. Not a concept that can be readily-accepted like the scientific laws.

I didn't say it was right. It's the animated way of viewing the dimensions from the perspective of the one above that I like, particularly with regard to the 4th. But I must admit that I didn't look at its details and I apologise for any irritation caused. Actually, the absence of the 11th dimension did make me think, but clearly not very much.

I have problems with that explanation. If EVERYTHING is expanding, there would be no way to detect it.
If it's not expanding relative to something that ISN'T expanding, it's meaningless.
The lazers wouldn't detect it, because the lazer light would be expanding at the same rate as the earth, so it would perfectly cancel out any expansion.

I read the resource and the replies. I still have some perplexing questions that are left unanswered.

1) Are there creatures that can see only in 2D?

2) Are there creatures we know that can see in 4D?

3) Is it purely hypothetical or proven? How can you prove it? Where are the evidence for a 4th dimension? Every physical concept has been so far proven. Why should we accept something just because physicists say it's a possibility without providing any evidence other than theory?

1) Yes. Any creature that loses the sight of one eye can only see in 2D
Also, any creature that has eyes on the SIDE of it's head, so that it can't combine two images of an object, would probably qualify too.
2) Not that we know of. ( if you're ignoring time as a dimension ).
Otherwise, we would be conscious of the existence of a fourth dimension.
As light, as far as we know, only exists in 3D+time, it would be impossible to see in 4D
3) It's purely hypothetical. If fact, not many things are actually proven at all.
I don't think anybody is asking people to accept more dimensions. Just the POSSIBILITY of more. And they like to mathematically model the possibilities.

Time existing as a dimension is part of the current standard model (I think). Ideas of time not existing at all are not currently part of the standard model, even if they are accepted as plausible by many physicists.
