Does this pic make sense? If pi is equal to 3.14, how come it seems drawn at where 1 supposed to be?

I think you are assuming that the scales on the x and y axis are in proportion - they are not.

Nevermind, I get it. The coordinates are simply not at 1:1 ratio.

Erm, that is because they're not plotting Pi , they're plotting , for varying values of x , the value of the sine function.
Sine of Pi/2 is 1 , and therefore it is plotted as such.
