Protests of Pope in London

Post by Lozzer » Sat Sep 18, 2010 6:11 pm

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11355258

20,000 demonstrators including notable figures such as Ian Mckellen, Human Rights lawyers, Richard Dawkins, Peter Tatchell and Al Murray.

I'm not sure how many came to see the Pope in London, but 20,000 is an epic magnitude of protesters. We sent the Pope a clear and affirmed message today: you're not welcome, fuck off.

Oh, and everyone's efforts were rewarded with a charming Daily Mail article. You did good pig, you did good.

The Mail had a charming photo of him

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Ugh! He's sooo creepy looking. You think with all that money he would at least get his teeth fixed.

Yay Hindus!!! They was always my favorite, except for the Caste system and the no beef!

(I'm mostly veg, but for ethical and environmental reasons. But the day they raise Douglas Adams cows in a sustainable way, I'm gonna go an all beef diet until I get asscancer.)
