Pope to amend 10 Commandments- to include NO kiddy fiddling?

Post by Santa_Claus » Fri Sep 10, 2010 7:53 pm

If not - then why not?

The Catholics need clearer rules that sodomising choir boys is not part of the Catholic faith.....or is it?

And the Pope walking accross the English Channel to visit the birth place of Jesus would seem an ideal time to do this.

1. You shall have no other gods before me.

2. You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them.

3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

5. Honor your father and your mother.

6. You shall not murder.

7. You shall not commit adultery.

8. You shall not steal.

9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.

I think no 4 is a bit superfluous nowadays - what with electronic diaries etc. I would have thought remembering not to f#ck a child was more important. but I'm not Catholic, so maybe not?

(think the Pope can't change the 10 Commandments? - they already did! to remove a bar on idolatry - obviously :fp: )

Because the word of the Bible is infallible. Normal people can't just go around changing its content.
If God wants it changed he'll change it in the past when it was first written so that it would look to us now like it was always there.

Christ sake. It's not that difficult to understand.

But the Pope is not a normal person.

FFS one look at him should tell you that :banghead:

Besides, as I said already, the Catholics have already changed the 10 Commandments - so it's not a question of the principle, it's about doing the right thing.

technically, most kiddy fiddling already falls under the no homosexual conduct rule... those priests are thrice damned, and would be stoned or driven into the desert if we followed levitical law... how much more useless legislation do you want to add to that?

Even if some of the kids are actually girls, that still falls under the 'unmarried sex is bad' rule... even though in the 20 centuries of chretinity, the fact that priests vows are of celibacy rather than absolute chastity (though a consecrated life should be sinless) has been widely abused by priests who wanted to fiddle anybody (though mostly nubile still) wearing a skirt to whom they had access.

Matthew 12:10-12
"and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, they asked him, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"
He said to them, "If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."

Mark 3:1-6
" Another time he went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath. Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Stand up in front of everyone."
Then Jesus asked them, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they remained silent.
He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus."

John 9:13-15
"They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind. Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man's eyes was a Sabbath. Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. "He put mud on my eyes," the man replied, "and I washed, and now I see."

Even Jesus worked on the sabbath. :dono:

He got three days break.
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."

I'm a bit concerned. Would god consider 'Popping one off' as working or would that only be true if my wife lent a hand?

On the revised commandment question. I dont think the Catholic Church could change it to 'no kiddy fiddling' cause many in priesthood see it as a perk of the job. However they could chnage it to 'No talking about kiddy fiddling'
