The average Muslim's intelligence

Post by Lozzer » Thu Sep 02, 2010 1:43 pm

I'm trying not to make any bold and offensive generalising claim about the intelligence (or lack thereof) of the average Muslim, but in my experience of communicating with many Muslims throughout the years, I can only deduce that they're severely lacking in the cognitive department. They're not much more delusional than the average Christian fundamentalist, but all of them seem to have trouble understanding even the most basic tenants of western science, literature, music and cohesion.

Of course, there's millions of very smart Muslims in the world. but every conversation I've initiated has resulted in disdain.

Forgive me, but I'm not going to pretend someone possesses a levelheaded degree of intelligence after hearing them inform me that sperm is produced by the spine. It doesn't matter how liberal I may be, I simply can't reconcile it with the perception that everyone is 'equal'.

Even better - we're all clots:

The average Muslim is simply indoctrinated. So indoctrinated that it not only takes intelligence, but courage to escape the brain washing.

From an early age it is drummed into them that Islam is the truth, that you will go to hell if you divert from that truth, and that all other faiths are against their god. You are required, as a male, to commit vast swathes of the Koran to memory.

Personally I think it is about the most evil of all religions (and they are all evil to some extent in my book). It is a nasty piece of work, purpose built to hook the poor and the vulnerable and to justify all means to achieve the ends it has in its sights.

It is by no means certain that we won't all end up being sucked into their nastiness.

Most of the Muslim's I've got to know well enough to be on first name terms with have actually been perfectly intelligent, nice and completely inoffensive people. I have got to know some Muslim twats too, but they have been a minority.

I'm trying not to make any bold and offensive generalising claim about the intelligence (or lack thereof) of the average black man, but in my experience of communicating with many black men throughout the years, I can only deduce that they're severely lacking in the cognitive department. Yes, the adherence to religious ideology is equatable to an ethnicity. Ladies and gentlemen, please observe an epic fail.

I'm trying not to make any bold and offensive generalising claim about the intelligence (or lack thereof) of the average homosexual, but in my experience of communicating with many gays throughout the years, I can only deduce that they're severely lacking in the cognitive department. They're not much more delusional than the average Christian fundamentalist, but all of them seem to have trouble understanding even the most basic tenants of heterosexual science, literature, music and cohesion.

I'm trying not to make any bold and offensive generalising claim about the intelligence (or lack thereof) of the average atheist, but in my experience of communicating with many atheists throughout the years, I can only deduce that they're severely lacking in the cognitive department. As much as I enjoy the parodies, I really must reiterate my point: I find there's a correlation [in my experience] between a group's intelligence and the branch of faith they believe in.

That's almost better, however, there's a positive relation between education/intelligence and one's disbelief in a deity :coffee:
