Best speak to your mother about those.

Friendly reminder for all to play nice. A bit of banter is okay, but lets not overdo it okay?

Just to get something straight. None of the people I spoke up about ever pm'd me for anything so it's not like as if anyone asked for my stupid opinion in the first place. In fact Lamont did post once that he never asked for me to stick up for him and he can handle himself and was probably embarassed that I did to the extent that I did.

But, it is how I am everywhere I go, not just here in forums, but in my life in general. I am what I am. (as Popeye says). Love me or leave me, fine with me either way. Been there done that. What's right is right. :parrot: :parrot: :parrot:

Kiki, I'll take you just the way you are. I think you are very cool, and I like your spirit. I'm more then willing to fight my own battles, and considering the lightweights and wannabe rational thinkers who take their lame shots, it's pretty easy dealing with the punks and chickenshits. That being said, I appreciate it that you and others jumped into the fray. This isn't my personal battle, it's about freedom of expression, being willing to stand up for what you know is right and enjoying the silliness and nonsense.

I also know that you can handle yourself against anybody, but I did think one of those ratskep/mod types who came to "set the record straight" treated you in an extremely rude and ungentlemanly manner. If memory serves, that guy stands about 5'4" and no doubt suffers from "little man's syndrome."

Take care. I hope that you and your family are doing well. It is much better to laugh at this stuff instead of letting it cause you a moment of upset. See you around...

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Posting about holding someone else in higher regard as you is not a personal attack.
She said that I, AS A PERSON (not my arguments), will NEVER be of a certain quality. That is a direct attack on my person.
So now if I post that my daughter has the prettiest eyes in the world, that's a personal attack on you because it says you don't have the prettiest eyes in the world? Sorry, but an absolutist view on that kind of thing doesn't make sense.
"you don't pack the weight". How on earth is that not an attack on my person?
He said "as far as I know". That's a statement of his knowledge, not a statement directly about you. You are free to rebut by revealing your secret knowledge of the moderator only forums on Rational Skepticism if you have it.
This is a reflecton on how Kiki sees posters of Ratskep, in which she includes you. We do not see group attacks as personal attacks, as voted upon by our membership.
"People LIKE YOU...sneaky dirty way". That's an attack on my person.
"People like you" could have a variety of meanings. It could be a group attack; it could refer to all people. Kiki provides a link for clarification.

I think this one is borderline, and could be construed as a personal attack if you had stayed clean in this discussion. The user agreement here, though does provide for some flexibility in the face of provocation. Let's face it, none of the above statements is anywhere near the blatant and admitted personal attack you were warned for.
