I'd never have guessed it on my own.

The planned burning has already caused alarm in the Muslim world, with the pre-eminent Sunni university, Al-Azhar in Cairo, Egypt, condemning it as "stirring up hate and discrimination."
Well, they should know.

To be fair, the Muslims didn't invent hate and discrimination, but the Muslims are to hate and discrimination as Bill Gates is to the personal computer.

mmmh? IIRC, the christians were into religious violence and burninating inquisition before islam evolved wahhabism and salafism (which are the truly violent and hate mongering branches)

The xtians got here first, so they had a head start. But they were limited, mostly, to swords and witch-burnings and the like (If you don't count the Bush wars). There were probably a few handfuls of people in remote regions who never heard of them. The Muslims are peaking at a time concurrent with greater destructive technology. Only to be surpassed by the next wave of hate-fueled, ignorance-inspired (or vice-versa?) bullshit in the coming decades.

But, anyway, it's a lame-ass story title. It assumes that the masses are booger-eating morons who couldn't figure that much out for themselves. CNN = Condescending News Network. Wankers.

A fair point, but many times I'm convinced that the masses really are a bunch of booger-eating morons who can't figure things out for themselves anyway.

Y'know, I would rather he be a peaceful Muslim than an average xtian, anyway. Of course, if he ditched religion (religious pretense?) altogether...

:whisper: Al Gore was the wooden guy in 2000. John Kerry was the wooden one in 2004.

Of course, if Al Gore changed his name to Gore-Tex, he would've been sued by Bush for messing with Texas. :ask:
