And considering you boasted here about how you were going to go over to Ratskep and troll until you got banned, and you only managed to get two warnings before you got bored and fucked off I'm not sure how you can say everyone is power mad. You specifically tried to troll your way to a ban and didn't manage it.

Well yes, but as i remember the reason you were getting so many PM's is that you had stated you were intent on trolling your way to a ban and people were trying to talk you out of it instead of just banning you.

I must have missed those.

Of course, if you had decided to stay and continue your deliberate and self admitted trolling the only alternative would have been to ban you. Some people were a bit worried that you had gone a bit mental actually and genuinely gave a shit.

The hysterical thing is that we have a case of pre-emptive modding here. I didn't troll over there, I just posted a controversial opinion and watched things go exactly as I predicted.

I also find it interesting that the staff over there patrols this forum for potential problems. And then assumes that they are actually problems. THAT's why I have a problem with the staff over there.

You were initially advised not to troll what was up until that point a serious discussion about philosophy. The modnote even specifically stated that if you wanted to have a different discussion you could start one yourself in another section of the forum. I fail to see what is so heavy handed about allowing people to try and discuss something seriously and preventing you from deliberately and self admittedly trolling that thread.

The fucking serious discussion of philosophy was a thread I STARTED in pseudoscience, and the feather-duster squad sent to the fauxlosophy forum so the cheerleaders would see it. And it wasn't trolling, I was trying to make a point. But it was a sacred cow and those must never, ever be challenged.

To my mind being calculatingly offensive = being a prick. I can get on well with people whose views I find poorly thought out or even dangerous as long as they aren't going out their way to press emotional buttons for the purpose of getting an negative emotional reaction rather than a reasoned response.

Looked to me like you had your ass handed to you in that debate and then decided that the best thing to do was troll the fuck out of it instead.

As the discussion had become a proper one by then you were given the option of

a) stop the trolling and have a proper discussion.
b) Start a new thread in Social and fun and games.

it's pretty hard to look leniently upon posts that are reported for trolling when the person that has been reported has run about telling everyone how cool they were going to be by doing some good old trolling over at ratskep.
