I certainly am.

And that's all she wrote.
No, it wasn't, mister quotemine. You omitted the following bits in order to twist the meaning of what Mistermack had in mind: "Why the fuck should 9/11 be special? I don't see it as any different to dropping the H bomb on Hiroshima, or sitting in a helicopter firing rockets at Palestinian children, or dropping Napalm on cities. I don't think 9/11 is special, just because americans died.
The only difference I can see is that it took a lot of nerve. Dropping the H bomb took no nerve at all. Nor did high level napalm bombing in Vietnam."

I will, but I shouldn't have to, because that post made it perfectly clear. I can't see how anyone could possibly misunderstand it.
Apologist means defend, well, I explained that EXACTLY. Anyone reading that post could see that I thought 9/11 was in the same bracket as other terrible acts of war. I don't think it's JUSTIFIED, I think it's no worse than stuff that the US does every day. And I can understand how people do those things, just as I can understand dropping the H bomb. I don't justify it, I just put it in the same bracket.

As for Saddam, I said nothing that you said I did.
The Iraq war was a choice between two evils. Very few americans can understand that kind of thing. They think the world is black and white, just like hollywood tells them. A goodie and a baddie. Not a choice between two baddies.
You all watch too many films, it's affected your thinking.

An apologist is an apologist. You defend 9/11, meaning you believe it was justified. Your pathetic excuses won't get you out of that simple fact.

Secondly, I'm not American so try again.

You can't stop lying. I said the exact opposite, you change my words for me.

I changed nothing. I said you were an apologist for 9/11 and you said "Yes I am."

That means you defend 9/11.

Macky was going off on a tyrade about Americans which meant nothing to me because I'm not American, so 'try again' meant 'actually make a point'.

lol.

You called yourself an apologist for 9/11 and are now trying to squirm away from it.

No, I stick by every word. And unlike you, I don't need to change any to defend it.
If what I said is so bad, why on earth do you need to change it or crop it to have a go?

As for americans, I have several very dear american cousins, lots of my favourite artists are american, and I've had good times in america, with americans.
And I don't deny that plenty of what they do as a nation is good.
But being the biggest military power brings responsibilities as well as advantages.
I'm happy to have a go at the bad bits, because they've often abused their privilged postition of military strength. I think there is a general attitude in the US of backing their govornment, RIGHT OR WRONG. It's not healthy.

I haven't changed a thing. You stated you were an apologist for 9/11 and there is only one possible definition for apologist - someone who defends the idea, principle or cause.

Also, I'm not American, I don't live in America and nothing about this has anything to do with what the American people think of the war.
And I haven't noticed anyone saying the US is an infallible body of Justice and Nobility.

That is just pathetic. You're reduced to isolating one word, ignoring every single word of context, and putting your own spin on it. How more dishonest can it get?

It's not 'my spin'. It's what it has always meant.

What I can't believe is that you still insist on calling yourself a 9/11 apologist.

Same way that George Bush, and the vast majority of americans, are apologists for dropping the H bomb (or A bomb?).
The difference is that they JUSTIFY it.
