I was slightly taking the piss. Too slightly it seems as I was expecting a challenge!

They could of course simply be 'bad' Muslims who have lost their religion.

Not to put facts in the way of a good case of prejudice however...
I was actually going to comment on assumption etc.
But the sentences just sort of threw cogent thought out the window.
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."

WRONG

I was actually connecting their possible religion to the fact that people who follow a religion tend to think they have a moral high ground and that atheists have no morals.

Also how many times are we told Islam is a "religion of peace"..
Well say that then, instead of asking how many of them were Islamic then posting a link to an article about their crime. There were only two pieces of content in that post, a rape crime and Islam. How on Earth to you expect anyone to deduce criticism of Islamic claims on morality from that?

That would be because it wasn't.

I'm sure they were all Musselmen....

But, in reading the article, I was puzzled by the repeated use of the euphemism "vulnerable." The article says, "The girl, described as vulnerable..." Described as vulnerable? She "...had been abused by a number of different men "as she went from one vulnerable situation to another"." - And, the article says, In each case the men identified her vulnerability to take advantage of her." The repeated use of the word - I think a couple more times in the article - makes me wonder what her specific vulnerability was.

Those fucks should be neutered like the dogs they are.

Perhaps you should go to another site as you seem to have missed the point that we're all atheists. I said "I wonder how many of them are islamic" not "look what islam causes"

It may well be that the author unconsciously favours that word and repeats it as a result.

I still don't understand the relevance of their religion.

"We're all atheists" doesn't translate to "Let's use the Girl's horrific ordeal to take a snipe at something which may or may not bear any relevance to the matter".
"The fact is that far more crime and child abuse has been committed by zealots in the name of God, Jesus and Mohammed than has ever been committed in the name of Satan. Many people don't like that statement but few can argue with it."
