I've been following the campaigns online and for those willing to stay up for it BBC's This Week's coverage of the campaign has been virtually unrivaled (they've just finished for the year and in the last few weeks have had a different leadership contender on the sofa each episode- incidentally none of them were able to weather the storm of Brillo's interview technique very well- and it killed off utterly the slim chance Abbott had)
I like Burnham, and I'd say in the head to head hustings, particularly at the start, he probably performed far better than anyone else, but he's not really managed to make himself seem on a broader scale anything other than irrelevant. Balls is unfairly represented in the media and sadly I suppose that on its own is enough to make him not viable as a leadership candidate- if he were to win Labour would be utterly fucked as far as the media are concerned.
Mostly because I'm a massive This Week fanboy I was sort-of behind Abbott at the start but she's run a horrific campaign and at times behaved awfully, confirming in the process all the very worst that was said about her.
Ultimately though I'd vote Miliband the younger because his brother is a cunt. The whole thing I think really has just illustrated what a tragedy it is that Purnell left parliament because him as Labour leader would have been orgasmically good.

I love Purnell so much.
