Venezuela's Chavez exhumes hero Simon Bolivar's bones
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez ordered Bolivar's tomb be opened because he suspects he was murdered.

WTF?

Now i'll say straight off the bat that i support chavez his social programs and the alike are doing immeasurable good for the Venezuelan people the only people you'll find that oppose him are the middle class and rich that got fat and happy whilst the poor suffered in third world conditions in a country that is one of the world's biggest oil producers.

However he does have his brain farts and his propensity to say and do before thinking. To say he is mental is bullshit its a caricature built up by the right-wing media to defame as they do with most leaders who haven't disappeared up America's and big businesses arse.

Viva Chavez.

You support dictatorial policies? Tyranny?Open support for terrorist groups like Hamas? Alliance with Ahmadinejad? Accusing Israel of doing WORSE than Hitler? The destruction of the independence of the Venezuelan judiciary (pointed out by Human Rights Watch)? Jailing opposition leaders as political prisoners? Seizing and shutting down media outlets (t.v., radio, newspapers) for printing the wrong stuff and "insulting the chief executive? " Stealing private property?

He instituted a coup de etat in 1992, which failed. You know - trying to overthrow the the government. After getting elected President in 1998, he got the Presidential term extended to 6 years, and later ended Presidential term limits and allowing him to serve, essentially, for life.

Great fucking guy.

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Really? There's a Citgo station right down the street that says you're wrong, and Venezuela is the third largest oil exporter to the United States.

He was probably politiking. Since he's been in office, he's done a lot of things I approve of and a few things that make me go WTF. At the end of the his rule, I'll bet you see a great deal more social mobility and a higher standard of living in Venezuela than before.

When will the end of his "rule" be? On Feb. 2, 2010, he said he expects to celebrate another 11 years in office.

It must be the frequent grocery, food and other goods shortages under Chavez that are creating this "higher standard of living." Like, the price caps on milk....caused milk shortages. They have milk shortages. LOL.

:funny: internet people are STILL going on with this bullshit? Chavez is as much a dictator as obama is a communist. Viva Chavez!
Our struggle is not against actual corrupt individuals, but against those in power in general, against their authority, against the global order and the ideological mystification which sustains it.

Right, because throwing political opponents in jail, and seizing television, radio and newspaper outfits is so non-dictatorial....as is doing away with term limits, rigging elections and seizing private property.

But, by all means, stick to your naivete. He is just such a good man, that he would never abuse his power.
