I agree that the Licence Fee needs lowering, the BBC produces way too much crap that you can easily find on other channels.

Also, BBC Three & Four are a complete waste of money considering they only show programmes through the night when BBC One & Two are showing a similcast of BBC News and Ceefax. Just merge One & Three and Two & Four.

They're also axing the Asian Network and tried to axe 6 Music in order to provide commercial rivals more room, even though commercial stations broadcast music along Radio 1 & 2 lines not Asian drama. Idiots.

Having said that, the idea the Tories are doing this as part of their fuck Britain public spending cuts is bullshit as the government doesn't even spend the Licence Fee, the BBC does, so it's a complete non-sequitur.

I agree, TV would be shit without the BBC, without a doubt it raises the bar that all the rest must attempt to reach, it's the difference between Fox News and Sky News.
