For me it's Mantis and Higgs atm, with either Ani or DP .. most likely Ani as DP has pointed at all three of those people during the game and I don't think he'd FOS both his accomplices (assuming there are three) if he were scum .. but I could be wrong on that, of course.

Feck's not in the clear, though, just because he's having net problems.

I don't want to vote yet as we're not even half way through the day and I really want to hear more from the other players.

Oh dear, just a quick post from me before I go through the rest of the threads.

Col really did look guilty. At the beginning of yesterday, she responded to the mafia's lynching as : bad luck guys.

I thought that seemed a little suspicious.


Also, Zigmen voted for col, and said "just a hunch".

Also, Ani's reaction to his lynching seemed pretty passive and reserved to his fate. That didn't look like the motives of a scum player, so I took my vote off him.

Okay, can you explain why this makes you think I am scum? For me it would make me think ani was more likely to be scum than me, as col is saying that what ani is saying is scum flail, and if you believe that then ani is the scum.

Do you have any other suspects?

Well, my suspects include you & DP.

(Maybe Zigmen too).


For example, at the beginning of yesterday, the votes were on Ani.

DP voted Animavore, and Ani said:

I haven't heard a more compelling argument since the Nuremberg defense.

I'm heading back to work, try and come up with something better by this evening.

To me, that seems like DP was trying to convict Ani a little too much.


Also, higgs made mention of DP on page 2 and says, 'he is looking less scummy today'. And, she has asked quite a few what their take is on so and so are... yet, she hasn't really made mention of DP. Maybe they are on the same team.


Another thing. Useless has been voicing his suspicions over higgs. Zigmen made a post stating that Useless is the most cleared at this point (which I don't really see how). But higgs turned around and asked him why he seemed the most cleared. Maybe higgs was nervous that people would take his suspicions into greater consideration.

Anyway, those are the little things that have stood out. If it turns out I am completely wrong and looking at things that aren't there, well I'm going to feel like a bit of a paranoid fool.

But! It could be something.

reading what zigmen posted earlier, I am beginning to think that the correct bandwagon to be on (or start) is mantis. Very interesting posts from zigmen earlier today that make a lot of sense. I'm going to go ahead and switch, because the timng of this game is such that I don't know how easily I will be on later.

That's true .. it's why I voted to lynch him.

As I said, I thought the timing of both your and higgs's switch to col was notable ... You, at least, had explained why you switched away from Ani. Higgs switched votes even though she still suspects Ani ... which looks like a bandwagon move ... and a few explanations about who she suspects don't really add up with her voting pattern.

Ayep, page 1 - two posts .. he mentioned mantis and the col bandwagon ...

DP, I'd really like to hear more from you.

What would you like to hear? That I'm rarely online in the middle of the night? I'm in Ireland so that's GMT+1 at the moment, coupled with working 9-5:30 it means I get a couple of hours in the evening to browse the forum during the week, and an hour at lunchtime during the day, by the time I catch up with everything I get in a couple of posts and then gone again.

As for my suspects,

Mantis is tickling my scumdar but I don't know why exactly, some of her posts just seem off to me. Not really enough to vote for her, but enough for a mention.
Higgs is there because of still being alive, she is one of the best players in this game and if she were town then why haven't scum killed her? Unless scum are thinking that and leaving her alive to be lynched.
Ani isn't playing his usual town game, so either a special or scum, or trying a new style after getting lynched in the last game for lying.
Feck is very quiet, but he is quiet across the forum and apparently has internet issues so it may not be gameplay related.
Charlou is more active now than at the start, seems to be getting involved, but could be coaching from team mates if she's scum, and is playing kind of similar to Higgs but that could just be her style of play too.
Uselesstwit is playing a town game, scum hunting, looking for clues, could be scum but not likely.
Zigmen is playing completely town to my eyes, so either an inspired scum performance or he is town, and I'd lean towards the latter.

I'm curious. You say that you "don't really see how" I consider Useless to be our most cleared player. I answered this by saying that Useless was not on the Cole BW, which is where I would expect scum to be. Why? Cuz Cole was town and scum alone (and Cole) knew that for sure.

Here you seem to be saying that switching to the Cole BW raises your suspicion.

So, why don't you understand that I consider Useless (for not voting Cole) as our most cleared player while you seem to understand that people who did vote on the Cole BW look scummy?

Non-gameplay for one minute, I thought that line was hilarious when I wrote it, I'm seriously disappointed that no one put it in the PTMYPYP thread.

I'm not playing mafia that long, but almost every time I see that line used it's by a scum player trying to prevent a town bandwagon, doesn't really help if you're innocent.

Useless, my vote was on Cole, so you have no real reason to trust me. So I'm not offended.

The order of the kills is important, though. I'm working on the assumption that scum tried to save Ani, and that's why we saw the late vote switches from Mantis and Higgs.

I see it as probable that they are both scum.

But my theory rests on the idea that Ani is in fact a scum team-mate they were trying to protect. That's why I've made it clear that i coul;d just as easily support a BW on Ani today. That would clarify my theory on Mantis and Higgs, once we knew for sure that Ani is scum or not.

I'm keeping my vote on Mantis because I sense scummy play, but, you're the mayor and someone I basically trust.

Should we move out votes to Ani today?

And if you do not survive the night, what order do you believe we should act in tomorrow?

The Logical side of me says Ani, then Mantis, then Higgs or DP last.
My Gut says to lead with Mantis.

But I'll follow your lead. Please tell us the order you think makes sense.
