One of the girls I work with told me this yesterday. She only found out because just recently she got her citizenship and on the list of felonies (two felonies and you lose your citizenship) was this law. I should look into it if that's recently updated, cause it sounds too ridiculous.

Well, the thing is, that stuff in the citizenship procedures isn't automatically updated, so there is a lot of crap in there that isn't exactly right.

For example, when a person takes the oath of citizenship in the US they have to swear off ALL allegiance to foreign powers; however, we now legally allow dual citizenship. Therefore, every single person who has dual citizenship with the US and another country, and took the US oath of citizenship, technically committed perjury.
