I'm not happy about Ani's lies either but I don't think it warrants a lynching just yet. He is not clear in my mind until he gives us a scum. I'm even thinking about a high risk scum strategy between him and magic. For now though my suspicions lie on charlou, feck and mantis.

I would like to echo charlou. As I was driving to work I thought why did she ask me to claify my vote for ghat this morning. Could others please read that post and tell me if it required clarification. (page 1) . Otherwise I think Charlou might have been just getting me to highlight this flawed logic for her own reasons.

Ghat is scum. I viewed him last night. If there's a bodyguard or whatever out there then I need protection tonight to view another.

At this point we either need to suspect Oblivion for being less than accurate in her PM to Ani, or we need to suspect Ani for making things up.

Knowing Oblivion, I can't imagine her being inaccurate to Ani.

Which leaves me in a dilemma. I do not know Ani well enough to figure out whether he is apt to make up something based on an odd PM from Oblivion, or if he is scum and trying some whacky tactics.

But I believe I have the answer. I'll start work on the explanation and post it asap.

Wow, this has gotten very interesting overnight. I find it a bit odd that there's an FOS on me when I was the one questioning the validity of Ani's vote on Ghat all along and said this needs more discussion. Well, look where more discussion has gone.

As for being voted mayor by Useless, if I get lynched because of that it will turn out to have been a good tactic on his part.

Ani, why did you want to view Ghat overnight? Was there something that stood out to you as scummy from him on day 1?

I'll try to be brief.

This is pure conjecture on my part. You all need to decide if this scenario fits what you've seen:

1) Ani is scum and decides that it would be easy to get us to lynch a towny. This gambit may have been chosen to force the real seer to out as well. Frankly, I'm not sure there was even that much thought put into it.

2) We all reacted the way town should (with some exception). We decided to lynch Ghat. Even Ghat knew this was our best course (please unvote yourself if you haven't already, Ghat!)

3) We plotted our course: Kill Ghat, and if he ended up town, we would kill Ani asap (probably by Vig kill).

4) Realizing his quandry, Ani "all-of-a-sudden" realized he was "blocked" last night. This, imho, is far too convenient. But who would support such a claim? His only living scum team-mate, MagicZig.

5) MagicZig now claims he is the town blocker, and that his target last night was Ani.

6) Ani and MagicZig obviously concocted this insane story to buy time.

I recommend that we lynch Ani, if for no other reason than his lie. We lynch liars. End of story.

And when Ani comes up scum, we ask the kindly and wise Vig to follow the trail toward MagicZig tonight.

If Ani pops town, I'll admit that doesn't clear MagicZig, but it does release him from immediate suspicion.

I don't mind sacrificing myself or another town for a town victory, but your logic is flawed.
I am the town role blocker and I did block ani last night. Will lynching one of us clear the other. Possibly, possibly not.
I do not have ani as in the clear because he could well have concocted his confession without me.
I have yet to vote.
Ani knew he had an action blocked last night.
That action was either:
1. Role blocking (scum)
2. Seeing (town)
3. Bodyguard (town)

My guess is 1.

I had considered that scenario too, and had even typed it out ready to post .. but I discarded it in light of Ani's vote for Magic on the heels of telling us he was role blocked when trying to view Ghat, followed by this post made before Magic claimed that he's roleblocker for town:

Just over nine hours. Magicziggy threw out an un-called for accusation this morning then after I said Ghat was guilty he sat back and said nothing, even when accused. It's like he was just waiting for the day to come to it's inevitable conclusion.

I'm aware that could be part of a plan to create even further doubt and confusion but reading through this thread again, Ani's behaviour seems to have arisen from a mix of both genuine confusion about roles (he thought vigis view as scum and roleblockers are always scum) and an attempt to use his own role in the best way possible for town.


Anyway, I'm removing my vote for Ghat ... unvote
