Jumping on Brian's Cox? Would you?

Post by Gawdzilla Sama » Thu Jun 10, 2010 12:57 pm

Borrowed from RatzSkep (with best thread title ever "Astrologers Jump on Cox" :
Particle physicist Brian Cox had the audacity to say on his "wonders of the solar system" show that astrology is a load of rubbish and so there obviously has to be a facebook group to defend the "practice".

More info here: http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badas ... mp-on-cox/

How can someone not versed in imaginary pseudo-science possibly make any informed comment on it

P.S. I'm reading Why Does E=MC[sup]2[/sup] at the moment, highly recommended.
I've posted this before but anyway, on the alternative election night program, he said this:
Brian Cox: I did my programme, you know, The Wonders of the Solar System; I said “astrology is rubbish” on that programme, and we got an almost record number of complaints from stupid people.
:hehe:
[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]
