I still don't know whethe there are 3 or 4 scum from the 4:1 ratio. Is this meant to be known?

I could have sworn I have seen you playing before. I'm just tired and confused.

Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

The ratio of scum to town is usually pretty standard for game balancing purposes. The exact number is only know to scum and the GM though

Only the scum know how many of them there are, it should be either 3 or 4.

If last night's second kill was a vigilante then there are likely 4 scum, if it was a serial killer then there are probably only 3.

If it was a vigilante who had only one bullet they might as well reveal themselves as they are just vanilla town now,
if they have more than one bullet stay hidden though.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

ahhh

does that mean a vigilante/serial killer is automatically scum?

or are they not scum & not town?

A vigilante is town, a serial killer is scum but not on the scum team. Their win condition is usually to be last man standing. Ani played an outstanding game as SK a few games back. He got to the endgame.

If I read that correctly last night's extra killing was not a vigilante. Therefore there must be at least one SK. (can there be more than one SK?)

what are the other types of hidden danger?

Last nights extra killing could have been a vigilante, just one who made a mistake. I'd think the vil. would have waited for a clearer target but who knows. More than one sk would be a mess so I doubt it.

Vigilantes often mess up, they usually only have one bullet, and if they wait too long they could be killed before getting to use it.

So they are quessing when they use thier bullet(s).

There could be, but we won't know until they show themselves. Just work on spotting scum, that's the game.
Unless you are scum, then good act.

Hmm.. Seems I was dead wrong about Charlou (a ha ha, dead wrong). I'm going to assume that the ones who have suggested me for lynching are innocent as scum will less likely start the first bandwagon of the day (I guess). So Blip is in the semi-clear to me.

And magicziggy. This might turn out to bite me in the ass later, though.
