Ani do you know what Blip is talking about regarding Vorion and a game at RatSkep? Do her concerns make sense? It bugs me that I can't evaulate the basis for that line of reasoning.
Re: Spooks, Day 5
I killed DP a few games ago and pm'd him saying 'it was me  then he got me back the next game then I got him and he got me, twice then this game.oblivion wrote:Ani do you know what Blip is talking about regarding Vorion and a game at RatSkep? It could be DP is scum and isn't whacking me after telling everyone in the first round to lynch him if I got whacked.oblivion wrote:lol. I am worried about getting this wrong again.Magicziggy wrote:what does the mayor think?
But on a technical sort of point, is it bad form or against the rules to make an observation based on someone's posts on another forum during the course of this game?

Sure it could be. And it could be that you are scum and have left him in the game to make yourself look like a vanilla player without a kill. It could be, but how likely is it?Animavore wrote:It could be DP is scum and isn't whacking me after telling everyone in the first round to lynch him if I got whacked.oblivion wrote:lol. This is a game of probabilities. We examine the possibilities, but we generally don't base our votes on the wildest of the possibilities.
Blip mentioned DP's style of play in her post today about his game at ratskeps. She said the style of play is similar in this game. That's something more concrete and evidence-based than speculation about why one of you isn't dead yet when there's a very obvious possibility to account for it.
That's what I was trying to ask you - do you see similarities in his style of play between this game and that one, similarities that aren't there in all his games, no matter what role he has.
Re: Spooks, Day 5
DP always plays the same. Few posts with little interaction.

Re: Spooks, Day 5
It is neither bad form nor against mafia rules. The only problem is that it's information that some players may not be able to follow. You have to consider both the possibility that the player supplying that info isn't playing for the same team, and you have to consider that the player could just be wrong or caught up with an observation that is true, but is not relevant to the question of another player's alignment in the current game.Blip wrote:I am worried about getting this wrong again.Magicziggy wrote:what does the mayor think?

I'm 99% convinced you are town. I want to support your picks for lynch vote if I can be sure they make sense. You know the players in this game better than I do.

Re: Spooks, Day 5
OK, thanks. It is simply this. I've just been over on RatSkep and notice that Timinane has started a sign-up thread for his mafia game over there saying that this one will soon be over. With ten players left of unknown disposition, that struck me as a bit odd. But then my judgement so far hasn't been very good and he's not planning to start his game until next Friday so this is probably a complete red herring.oblivion wrote:It is neither bad form nor against mafia rules. What's causing me to hesitate about Witti is that he's friends with Skinny and also enjoys using LOLCats to illustrate his posts: so he may simply have lost interest in this game. But I'm not sure about that clearing him.
I'm also looking at higgs2's list of suspects.

While I'm pondering, Timinane is right about this:Timinane wrote:My thought processes are simple and since Ziggy keeps surviving I thought I'd try mantis this time round since their lynching patterns have been similar to Ziggy's

Magic voted for Skinny; Charlou; Ghat; Meph

I always set out with the intentions to be more active, since quiet players always appear scummy, then reality intervenes.Animavore wrote:DP always plays the same. Few posts with little interaction.
I probably won't be here at all tomorrow unless I can find some free wi-fi for my iTouch, I'm going to be in your neck of the woods for the day.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Re: Spooks, Day 5
Well, as things stand I'm still most suspicious of:
Sifaka
DP
Timinane
I'm worried that Witti is just no longer interested in this game because of his preference for a flamboyant posting style, but he was on Higgs2's list of suspects along with DP and Ani. Plus one of our RatSkep players did an experiment in a recent game hardly posting at all to see if he could escape the attention of the bad guys (he was the cop: his ploy worked) so it's possible that Witti is doing a similar thing.
So...
