Homosexuality on Children's Television Shows
Throughout my whole childhood, I have never ONCE--meaning not a single time--seen a homosexual relationship on children's TV shows.
And throughout your childhood you're shown all of these princesses and princes falling in love and a boy falling for a girl and then a family starts and blah... In fact, I never learned what homosexuality was until 4th grade.
I think that these shows of heterosexual relationships are indoctrinating us into the thought that no other relationship exists besides male and female relationships indirectly, even if they weren't meant to do so. This would put a large amount of stress on the child if they were latently gay, wouldn't it? It might also make children more open to homosexuality and think of it as nothing but normal life (which is what we want, isn't it?).
The worst that will happen is that your child will turn out to be a fake homosexual (thought to believe so but isn't one) and then go through a bit of denial and find out they are straight, but I doubt that will happen with many children or teenagers when they become older.
This would also decrease the many acts of homophobia throughout the countries that show homosexual relationships on television. Religion will just have to shut up (fuck off WBC). Many parents might find this "inappropriate", but I don't see how. Isn't that just like saying that it's inappropriate to show a heterosexual relationship on TV? How absurd.
... What do you guys think?

I will forever love JK Rowling for announcing Albus Dumbledore was gay.
That is made clear to my children when we read/watch the Harry Potter series.

There aren't homosexual relationships on Children's shows because there are barely even heterosexual relationships. Most kids shows are wankers in suits singing shitty rhymes.

When I say children's shows I mean the shows that you don't really learn much but you just sorta watch it for fun... Such as Disney romance movies.born-again-atheist wrote:There aren't homosexual relationships on Children's shows because there are barely even heterosexual relationships. Well, I AM gay after all...
I've noticed that I have to remind people or tell people that I'm gay every day.
Just today somebody didn't know I was gay, and I told him. His mouth opened a bit and he dropped his book. He was like, "Seriously?" Apparently he's not homophobic, but he said that I "didn't have to go that way". I was going to tell him that homosexuality isn't a choice, but he had to go on stage (we were acting... dreadfully).

Re: Homosexuality on Children's Television Shows

I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
