Whoever gets in will end up probably fucking things up big time and will in any case be the most unpopular government since the heyday of Mrs Thatcher.

Thatcher wasn't popular? Hmmm.... I recall Thatcher being quite popular, and effective. But, then again, I am over here in the States, and I was in my youth at the time, so I am sure my information is incomplete in part and incorrect in part.

Maybe the next PM can get the UK into a silly war many thousands of miles away and win themselves re-election.

I was wondering that myself. I mean, didn't Argentina try to take over the Falklands? I'm not sure what the beef is with the UK protecting its territory.

Indeed. I was going to say something along those lines myself. I know it would certainly be verboten here in Ireland. Sheesh, it's all the media can do to comment on how brisk voting is at any point, whilst steering clear of any inferences on who this might favour.

Here is the real exit poll:

Conservatives = 307 seats
Labour = 255
Liberal Democrats = 59
Others = 29

Which is a hung parliament. The Lib Dems have actually lost 3 seats since the last election. I hope the real results are more favourable.

You need to see the percentages to see if "Cleggmania" had any effect, 'cause it could be the case that the Lib Dems support has grown, but too uniformly to win any seats.
