Just started airing in AU today, saw the first episode.

Quite liked it.

I agree. It was a dodgy start and it had me worried they had blown it - but I liked the two parter very much!

Matt Smith is excellent. I never used to like Doctor Who but this series has been really enjoyable. It has just the right mix of darkness, humour and just general silly sci-fi.

Also, Karen Gillan (Amy) is as talented as she is gorgeous.
