Re: LOLCAT Mafia - Day 5
But all 4 of them voted for Rapping Agnostic for lynching at a time when it was neck and neck between him and me for the vote. JA poisson voted early (2nd), but DP's, Animavore's and Mantis' votes were all crucial, either tieing, breaking the tie or possibly able to create a new tie but chose not to.
Normal didn't vote until the very end of round, literally minutes before the close and when RappingAgnsotic was down 7-3 in the vote. It was a purely cosmetic vote.
As much as it's unlikely that the Committeh was stacked with evil players, I'm afraid I can't rule it out completely. It would be unusual, but as some famous smart dude said, when you've discounted the impossible and are left with the improbable...or something like that.
That, and Normal's continued accusations against me earlier in this day round when I feel I've done more than enough to demonstrate my help to the innocents makes me suspicious.
Normal is back in the suspect column in my book.

Come now. That's just because I attacked you, right? If you're going to act like that we will have the sifaka situation all over again. Besides. When I read more thoroughly through what you actually wrote, I took my suspicions down a notch, didn't I?Durro wrote:But all 4 of them voted for Rapping Agnostic for lynching at a time when it was neck and neck between him and me for the vote. And I was 1st on RA btw
Re: LOLCAT Mafia - Day 5
Why do you keep leaving yourself out of every suspect list you make Durro? Is this a diversionary tactic?

Re: LOLCAT Mafia - Day 5
It's not evidence of my innocence. It was a desperate pleading mail from Meph that I saw right through. I still don't know if it's against the rules to post the whole PM exchange. Can someone clarify the rules for me? I know we can't directly quote PMs from Oblivion, but can I directly quote a PM from another player?Lion IRC wrote:Lion IRC wrote:Normal wrote:Yeah. Re: LOLCAT Mafia - Day 5
Innocents don't tit-for-tat vote. I said this yesterday. Who's done this? Redial, Meph (both scum) oh... and Durro.
Normal points FOS at Durro. Higgs2 said yesterday Durro was acting suspiciously. JA Poisson concedes Durro's voting has been suspicious.
Who spends hours doing an analysis that points fingers at everyone else but the author of the analysis? The last remaining scum don, that's who.

Normal, I think you can post it. It's not from oblivion and let's face it, no one would know if you copy pasted or paraphrased or crafted it yourself.

Proof? You now need proof? You've been killing players every night without proof but for some reason you have one player that you think is beyond reproach? Such that you'd kill me off for daring suggest he's guilty? Can you explain that?Lion IRC wrote:To quote almost every single New Atheist I ever met....."wheres your proof!"Twinkie wrote: The last remaining scum don, that's who.

Re: LOLCAT Mafia - Day 5
This is the PM I received from Meph the evening before he was murdered in the night:
That was my suspicion at the time.
Then he replied with this:
At this point I wondered if he could be sincere, but judged against it. So the reply I sent was: So. What you're saying is "I'm scum, and tonight I will be protected by the prostitute. Please in any way make them kill me"?Mephistopheles wrote:Okay, so I think I can trust you. Again, I'm really sorry for all of the shit throwing, and I really tried to keep you safe because I think you're one of the least suspicious, but I had a reason for doing so. JR is right: there's no way that we'd have a Committeh completely full of vanilla town cats. I can't tell anyone about my power because otherwise I'm just useless, but I need either the scum or the serial killer to try to night kill me.
I'm Force Field Cat. The role term he gave me was "The Bomb." In the event I am night-killed, my force field shatters and it kills both of us.
Which is why Lion CAN'T kill me. I need to somehow convince the others of this. I'm pretty certain that JA is the serial killer now and is waiting to pick off one of us, but if he and everyone else thinks that Lion's taking care of me tonight there's no reason for either him or the scum to try to kill me. And despite the fact that Lion's been killing off a shitload of innocents, I think he's one of our best shots at picking off the rest of the scum.
So what do I do? How can I attract someone other than Lion to kill me? I've been trying my damndest to look suspicious enough, but now it seems too suspicious and I might end up killing Lion and ending the game...should I go public with it?
That was my suspicion at the time.
Then he replied with this:
So he was just desperately trying to get me to somehow protect him. I don't think the PMs hold any information that is useful to us nowMephistopheles wrote:I suppose I deserve that because I have been a complete douchebag to you.
No, I'm saying I'm with town, I'm trying to sacrifice myself to get rid of either the serial killer or a scum. I didn't know what else to do because coming right out with it completely ruins any chance I have of taking out evil people. I was hoping that my secretiveness at the end of day 3 might help take out one of them (which at the time I thought might be you), but when that didn't work I decided to be more aggressive in my shit-throwing to maybe coerce one of them into picking me off. But at this rate if Lion targets me tonight, we're both dead and my death will have been for nothing.

Re: LOLCAT Mafia - Day 5
Lame effort from Meph. He fos's JA Poisson as serial killer, which would indicate JA's innocence more than anything.
