Why is it that Islam is growing fast among western nations?

In the U.S. and Canada, there is no evidence that it is the fastest growing. In Europe it is purported to be the fastest growing due to immigration and a ridiculous birth rate.

It attracts the simple minded, and those prone to religious belief in the first place - people who need to believe in something ephemeral to explain things that they don't understand with arbitrary answers to create an illusion of certainty that does not exist. It also attracts those who feel better when they feel like they belong to a structured group, or a club.

But when the “western thinkers” accept Islam then that shows that it can’t be absurd, but reasonable.
