Don't give up on it. I found an F-86 near here and the same guys have a two-seat jet trainer, which I'm hoping to get a ride in this summer.

I feel like giving up. It's too expensive.
Hope you enjoy your jet flight, never been in one myself. Sounds like alot of fun. I will be going to the duxford spring airshow next month, should be good.

Everything's too expensive when you're young. Just don't let go of it completely. The restorers I'm going to work on also have a biplane. I'd rather do open-cockpit than jet. They said we might bend a few FAA rules, especially ones involving "lowest legal altitude". :levi:

Aww thanks. Feels good to be back.
I don't plan to give up flying, just the licence holding shite that costs bollocks. There is still powered hang gliding. ;)
I'm gonna turning in now. Quite tired.

Night.

I think that language has a lot to do with interfering in our relationship to direct experience. A simple thing like metaphor will allows you to go to a place and say 'this is like that'. Well, this isn't like that. This is like this.

I used to know a photographer/videographer who rode in the back seat of a TF-86. His "private collection" of photos would have given DOD a heart-attack.

So we're talking "things with wings" now. This thread has definitely taken a turn for the better in the past couple of days.
