And, so it begins....

Let's make a list. We'll start with movie theater popcorn...marketed directly to kids! [gasp!].

Oh, and McDonald's is using the "How to Train Your Dragon" movie to market its evil food!

We need to ban that too, because it is encouraging young girls to mimic an unreasonable body image....

That needs to be banned because of its effect on eating disorders. I have no proof that banning that is going to reduce the incidence of eating disorders, but hey, what the heck, "it's worth a shot."

Your inability to equate reality with fantasy is disturbing at best, and far below that of a child's level.

There's a reason McDonald's portrays him as real to children and not as an imaginary character.

I would say that it is the responsibility of governments to legislate to achieve reasonable conditions for working people. How likely this is to occur in 3rd world countries is another matter. I also accept that a balance needs to be found between reasonable conditions for workers, and companies making money. Usually, this is achieved when both companies and workers curse the government with equal venom...

Dictionaries, dude. They are your friend. You might want to know the definition of a word before you use it.

Nope, I used it correctly. When you figure out the difference between an animated cartoon and a man in a jumpsuit get back to me.

The bolded part is an attack on the person, rather than the argument, even if expressed indirectly. Please make your opinions clearly against the argument, rather than the poster in future.

Both Ronald McDonald and Mickey Mouse are animated characters and also costumed humans. Neither exists in real life, but children often believe they do. Christ this is flippin' painful... :banghead:

Naah...changed my mind...I think we should ban only Ronald McDonald. Other merchandising icons marketed to children to sell fast food are o.k.

Joy!

Can't you read a message as short as a single word consisting of just three letters, let alone work out what to make of it?
