It's hardly "deprivation" if we are all able to interact with each other. Unless we all have blackened goggles and cardboard tubes over our hands.
So like a normal Saturday night in the Animavore household then?

It was when I was a child. Hands are too big for kitchen roll insert now, plus my mum can make me switch into the mode by suddenly and unexpectedly cutting the power anyway so it's unnecessary.

Not closed... as much as void, or so it seems.

There's another one starting on ratskep though shortly

what the fuck is with ratskep just signed up to play mafia and it is saying my posts need to be approved by a moderater. They can jam it sideways up their arses
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

The made me change my political affiliation in my profile, claiming "Nazi" was against their rules. I checked, it isn't. They also said it could cause problems because the site is hosted in Germany. I checked, and it isn't against the law to say you're a Nazi in Germany either.

We've been inundated with nutty spam from David Mabus and his burning goats, etc, as well as a few others, so we've changed the setup so that new members have to make an approved post or two before they are given unrestricted posting rights. It's just a way to try and filter out rubbish from flooding the forum.

If you guys want, I can start my game some time later next week.

I'm GMing a game on another site right now, so I can't start it up right away.

That could work out pretty well, there's a game starting on RatSkep on monday too, should be fun.

You're next game going to be themed or just straight mafia?

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

I think I've done one unthemed game in my chequered career. I was planning to do a Torchwood-themed game, but I haven't given that a whole lot of thought so I'm not sure how I'd make it work.

I designed a game based on Ursula K. LeGuin's novel The Dispossessed when I first started playing Mafia. The game was a little lame, and I've always wanted to redesign it and make it more challenging. Interested?

I'd be interested. I haven't read The Dispossessed: I did read (the?) three Earthsea novels about thirty years ago (probably about the time I read Dune, in fact).

There's a game just starting on RatSkep so the timing would be very good if you plan to do a bit of work on your game :td:

Jimmy Lee Farnsworth: Erwin, admit that you are a sinner.
Fletch: Uh. Well, I've sinned. I didn't take any Polaroids or anything. But, yeah, I've sinned.
Jimmy Lee Farnsworth: The Lord forgives ya!
Fletch: Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you. Amen. What? Other sins? Uh, I parked in a handicap spot on my way up here. Actually, on a handicap person. I told him I'd be back in five minutes, so that's not such a big deal.
