Idle, when/where I grew up in the US, confessing unbelief would have destroyed both personal life and career, as well as earning you an ass-kicking or two. You've got my sympathy. Try to find some like-minded people for support and a more sympathetic doctor. Good luck, man!

Can I suggest this be moved from the Pub to avoid derails?
It's a piece of piss to be cowiz, but it's not cowiz to be a piece of piss. Or something like that.

If Idle is OK with it, I think it'd be better in Serious Discussion. Idle, the Pub is for light-hearted joking around. If we move it to General Serious Discussion, nobody can derail it. What do you say?

Yes the ass kicking is a serious issue for me, not to mention being disowned and my wife would have to divorce me, since our marriage would become void. My wife would be under serious problems she would not be able to see me her family would not let her see me...

That is my plan. Once my wife gets a residency, I want to move out of my area and move to different area, where there are not many Muslims, I might even move to another country inside the EU for example maybe Germany or Sweden. I want to be as far as way as possible from all of my relatives and friends. I am going to give a choice to my wife, she can remain a Muslim but the children get to decide if they want to be Muslim or not when they grow up. And I am not going to allow them to be named Mohammed or some other Muslim name.

Islam is a religion everybody is born into. Every baby is a muslim when he or she is born.
It is the parents and society that turn them away from the natural religion and leads them astray.

There's no smiley for how I'd like to respond, so I'll just settle for :airwank:.

Does that include people born before Islam was invented? In my experience, infants behave like a cross between atheist, since they're incapable of understanding the concept of a god just yet, and animist, since everything is alive. And becoming more animist as they approach toddlerhood, and their awareness of the world becomes more sophisticated. After that, they become enculturated into whatever religion their parents want to r
push on them. But I'll try a little experiment: I'm not going to raise my son with any religion, so he won't have the opportunity to stop being Muslim. When he's old enough, I'll check and see of how he turned out.

But that is a complete derail, and trollish though it may be, it does highlight the clinginess of Islam. To the original poster, best of luck, however things turn out.
