The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Re: Alpha Complex (players only)
Think about it, yesterday we helped the computer identify Pawiz, a dangerous Psionic mutant who could recruit others.
Today Feck is gunning for me as the one who led the charge against the mutant traitor. He is trying to avenge his companion.

I'm going to change my vote to Feck as well. DP appears to be a better citizen and I'm pretty sure I saw Feck mutating right in front of me.

Attention citizens. You have 5 minutes to return to your habitation units. Citizens found wandering the corridors after this time will be assumed to be CMTs and terminated

Friend Computer is most disappointed. Not a single citizen came forward with information about the Communist menace in our midst throughout the entire work cycle. It saddens Friend Computer to make an example of you all. Please wait in your habitation pods. The termination drones will be with you directly

You DO realize the rainbow contains the colour red, right? You've been sort of quiet up until now. Plotting?Pappa wrote:Hey... I just followed the rainbow here... anyone want to play cheese with me?

We love the computer.
Except for the owners of the muffled voices I heard in the service corridor last night, they didn't stay in their quarters after lights out like good citizens. I hope the computer punishes them.

The lights flick back to the bright setting. It is the work cycle
A large circular void can be seen where Oblivion's habitation pod once stood. It appears that a small anti-matter bomb was placed there in the night. In the bottom of the void is a card.
This whacking was brought to you by Free Enterprise. Badda bing badda BOOM
Feck's quarters also lie in a pile of rubble. Hand marks can be seen in the concrete of the supporting pillars. Burnt into the top of the pile with an industrial laser is the word MOOTANT. You hear coughing from under the pile and manage to pull out Citizen Feck dazed but unhurt.
Oblivion was a Computer Phreak hacker. He had the ability to glean information about other citizens from the computer's files

I am here to do the bidding of the computer.
And I'm HAPPY to be of service.

And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out brief candle
Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing. [Macbeth]
It am wicked to mock the afflicted. [BH (Calcutta), failed]
Dope will get you through times of no money better than money will get you through times of no dope. [Freewheelin' Franklin]

Re: Alpha Complex (players only)
It looks like my hypothesis about Feck's invincibility was right. Is invincibility usually a town trait or a mafia trait?
