What do you think is the most over rated film of all time? I don't necessarily mean a bad film, just one that didn't deserve all the praise heaped on it.
I'm torn between Schindler's List and Terminator 2.

Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

I'm not sure Avatar counts, it hasn't exactly been showered with critical acclaim or even good word of mouth. If it wins an Oscar it will be over rated, otherwise it was just over hyped.

I guess I just don't see what's so funny about it. I've watched it with other people in the room and they're just cracking up at what I perceive to be really stupid shit. Eh, taste is quite a strange thing.

Christ it was boring.
Shrek.
Why this is so popular (with critics and older people) is beyond me, I laughed once (Gingerbread man torture scene).
