I'm frankly sorry Dawkins backed down from this statement. He was correct.

The proposed new mode of moderation is the cure for what ailed RDnet. The forum had become little more than a propaganda tool of the radical left. The political forum, in particular, was awash in reams of 'Merika-badmouth dweezleblabber, dominated 24/7 by a small cadre of smug, overbearing, obsessive rag-mouths.

Those who became hysterically outraged and ran away screaming were precisely the ones who needed to be gotten rid of.
