Well you have to admit that you are the one who is discarding "emerging independent science", whatever that means.

I am too.

Until there's some emerging independent science on the big benefits of drinking scotch regularly, that is.

Well... I was thinking of, you know... good scotch. Like Lagavulin or Bruichladdich or perhaps A'bunadh.

But whatever floats your boat!

Please tell me you don't just drink red label by itself? The only thing red or black is good for is mixing with cola!

Okay, true, black label is above red label and blue label is above black label, but if we bought blue label, we'd not have any alcohol budget left over for gin, rum, spiced rum, coconut rum, vodka, limoncello, kahlua, ouzo, grenadine, midori, vermouth, grand marnier, dubonnet rouge, bailey's, godiva, schnapps, cointreau, creme de cacao, creme de bananas, creme de menthe, tequila, sloe gin, port, southern comfort, galliano, frangelico, goldschlager, jaegermeister, vanilla liqueur, sambuca, campari, and blue curacao.

So, yeah.

Haha, I understand completely! This is the first time I've bought it myself after dreaming of it for a long time and this being the first year in my life I'm not worried about paying bills before wasting money on booze. Still, I couldn't drink red without coke (not in a snobby way, in a literal way). Before this I've just settled for a bottle of Glenfiddich now and then. Damnit, now I need to go make myself a drink :td:

My view on 9/11 is this, it wasn't a government plot BUT I think that they had some idea that something big was going to happen and they just... let it happen for their own purposes.

There's definitely something our government knows that they're withholding from the general public, or anyone else for that matter, and that is enough for me to raise suspicion.

Hi Conny. Thank you for starting this thread. And the mods might want to keep an eye on off-topic bullshit & buffonery posted by every respondent except Galaxian.
http://heiwaco.tripod.com/nist3.htm <- Read it if you reckon you've got the brains.
As Conny says; if you have nothing to contribute except "How dare you question the government PR?", go somewhere else.
Explain ALL the following as a set of coincidences:

1) That the air defense of NY & Washington DC was stood down on 9/11.
2) That 3 towers, of 110 floors & 47 floors, collapsed at close to freefall accelaration, despite the fact that each floor had to collide with & dis-engage each floor below it, and thus set it accelarating, from scratch. So how did they reach the ground as fast as if there had been nothing in the way?
3) That 3 towers, of 110 floors & 47 floors, fell on to their own footprint, despite the fact that natural variability in inter-floor impact & failure would have given them a preferred lateral movement.
4) That 3 towers, of 110 floors & 47 floors, fell within minutes or hours, supposedly due to a fire, even though that fire was low intensity, and secluded, and no tower in history had collapsed due to fire, even when the whole tower was engulfed in the conflagration.
5) That the massive steel core of WTC 1&2 was brought down by the flimsy connections of light floors.
6) That light poles were neatly, and gently bent over (at the Pentagon). Where an impact of 400+ mph would have mangled them & flung them far from their foundations.
7) That very little plane debris was found at the Pentagon or Pennsylvania, and no bodies or luggage either, contrary to all other land impacts, even into mountainsides.
8) That the lawn at the Pentagon was left neatly trimmed & unscathed.
9) That fuel-fed fires at the Pentagon left timber & paper untouched.
10) That plane parts were found up to several miles away from the Pennsylvania crash site, but not at it.
11) That WTC 7, fell, again on its own footprint, for no clear reason (no, fire was NOT it).
12) That there are a significant number of witnesses with accounts contrary to the official mantra.
13) That the 9/11 Commission was long delayed & only set up under protest. That the White House refused to answer questions. That the Commission refused to accept witness testimony from contrarians. That a single dissenter on the Commission meant that a point was not admissible.
14) That NIST constantly hedged its bets & either refused to be candid or blundered in its replies.
ETC. ETC...

Now, don't tackle just 1 or 2 of the items. Explain ALL at the same time. Don't hang your hat on "demolition explosion" stuff. Answer how ALL the above happens concurrently.
You can't. Which proves a) You're government agents. OR, b) You can't get your head around how you've been lied to. OR, c) You are not atheists/agnostics; you're secret religionists who believe it was a miracle. OR, d) You're hedonists, so 9/11, war/murder is all a bit of a laugh to amuse you! :coffee:

TBH the only credible conspiracies I've seen asscoiated with 9/11 have been arse covering excercises after the event.

The "evidence" Galaxian presented is pretty typical and can be explained by:

1) SOP
2) Physics
3) Physics
4) Engineering
5) Engineering
6) Physics
7) Physics
8) Physics
9) Physics
10) Physics
11) Engineering
12) Criminology (when do witness statements EVER agree???!!!)
13) Politics (let's set up a comission to pillory the governemnet - yeah, they'll just love that!)
14) Politics

But of course unless you are an expert in politics, air-traffic control, materials science, chemistry, privy to the inner workings of US politics, engineering, architecture, etc, etc then the lizard overlords from Alpha Centuari clearly MUST have been behind it - stands to reason. :Erasb:

I personally can pull apart some of the "questions" raised from my own expertise: e.g. the poles in 6 - under high stress materials such as aluminium neatly bend along faultlines in the material, they are not "mangled or shattered". I know this from having fired 40mm AA shells through aluminium sheets and blocks and NOT getting the expected "shrapnel" effects (I had to fake the publicity shots as a result!). But of course without advanced degrees in architecture, engineering, etc, etc I can't rebut the other points so the conspiracies must be all true.................

Just like with regular scientific theories.............................NOT!

Galaxians irony at the end of his post is well placed - the conspiracies rely heavily on the "god of the gaps" fallacy, only in this case putting evil government agents or lizard overlords in the "gaps"

Edit: Oh, and of course bacon is far superior to cheese, but both together trump all.
